I'm very disappointed at the Mac Mini update. My late 2012 Mac Mini features a 256 GB SSD, 16 GB RAM and, most importantly, a 2,3 GHz Intel Core i7 quad-core chip. The processor in my two year old machine is more than 50% faster than the new 3.0 GHz Dual-Core Core i7 in the new high end Mini - which costs much more than the €800 my Mini cost back then.

Also, the iPad Mini 3 update is a little strange ... €100 more just for Touch ID? The Retina iMac and iPad Air 2 seem cool though, although I'm still happy with my iPad 1 and I'll wait for a 5k Thunderbolt Display.

I don't understand why apple products are so hyped. They are quality, but you pay just for the apple name sometimes. I just don't see the point in buying a new phone/computer/tablet every year when it's not that much different.

Only those with money to burn and fanboys buy a new device every year. However, if they don't make a new device every year their competitors will walk all over them. It is not so much that they go "hey upgrade every year" so much as it is "hey you have more options! The old hotness is cheaper and look there is a new hotness!" For instance I'll be sticking with my iphone 5c since I like the size of the phone. A coworker of mine has been waiting for a phablet for some time and he nearly lost his mind when the iphone 6 plus was released. Also revisions do actually improve upon the original design...which is good for the customer.

iPad mini 3 has identical specs to the iPad Air 2. That's why.

They still have the iPod Nano and Shuffle. They removed the Classic a few months ago, but I think Apple is pushing those two if you just want to listen to music. They haven't touched iPod Touch in two years and it has specs equal to (or slightly worse, I think) to the iPhone 4S. It's in its final year of support.

Agreed. I was just saying that the ipod touch is closer to the ipad mini than the nano or shuffle. So if you need the full ios experience then the mini is likely the best bet. Wait can the ipod touch run ios8 and not cry?

If the iPhone 4S can handle it, then the iPod Touch should be able to. I don't have either, though, so I don't know.

No, it doesn't. It has identical specs to the old iPad Air and iPad Mini retina. Look at the Apple page - A7 chip, WiFi 802.11n, 7.5mm thick and so on. There's literally no difference to the old one except Touch ID (and maybe the camera, didn't check that).

Oh...I was under the impression that the iPads match. But this is not the case this time. That is odd. Why would they do that? You essentially are paying for $100 for Touch ID (and online Apple Pay).

Yosemite has been released! Time to download!

EDIT: Hold on, I jumped the gun a little. It's almost there!

SECOND EDIT: There we go! Downloading now! It's a 5.16 GB download, so it'll take a while.

Hope the Mini 3 is compatible with Skylanders: Trap Team. Our Mini is starting to die and I wouldn't mind Skylanders on the go (even with its limits). Plus, if I hook up the display to the TV, I can finally use a wireless Portal with a Skylanders game again :'D
