Topic: Anyone up to making a game?

Is Kaiser still not around? This project can't go anywhere until he shows up.

@zach: Read the forums, link is in the very first post. Don't have time to explain everything personally every time someone asks.

We have our plan, now we're into brainstorming! Now the project gets really fun. Anyone can join in here, and the more we have, the better it'll be. Be sure to read this and this first to get an idea of what's going on, then grab some pencils and spill your brains before us with your wonderful ideas (...but clean up after yourself, brain stain is hard to get out of the carpet).

I'm badly ill today, so I won't be around on here much or Coffeh. So if I'm needed for whatever reason... it'll have to wait until I've stopped vomiting every half hour D:
At this point the project can roll along nicely without my support. This part of the project is pretty much what this thread turned into before we moved to Coffeh - a mass idea free-for-all. When I'm feeling better, I think I might try my hand at some background tile.

Want to have your idea in a game? Now's the time to get involved! It doesn't have to be huge, in fact things like enemy concepts are exactly what we're looking for. It'll only take you a few minutes, and it may well end up in the game! (or it may not, heh)

Sorry to hear that Ray. My mom is starting to get starting to get ill. Oddly I haven't been sick all year, which I find odd.

Yeah encase you didn't notice, I found out backgrounds where my real Achilles. I have a lady friend of mine helping me with the animation which I have close communication with. But I want to see what you could do with some backgrounds.

Nice work Kaiser. It's refreshing to see all the pixel art coming together. Also, the improved caution tile-set is on the forums.

@427 You guessed right, we are making a game. Feel free to prowl Raylax's and Yai's forum to get up to speed.

Since this forum was drying up a bit, I decided to use this place to post my scene thingy. I utilised most of the sprites I made, and a custom background I put together. This be the outdoorsy one, by the way.

Wow nice job Phobos! I've been trying to make good clouds for quite a while and they haven't exactly turned out well. Those rocks are also really good! Perhaps they could be spawn points for small, angry creatures.
Lastly, I was wondering if you could share your opinion on the final screen resolution. We need to get this settled before I can start work on the GUI.

Heh heh, evening. I'm kinda busy with a lot of stuff atm. I visit on a daily basis though. We're really looking for background tiles atm, as most people already know.

If you saw the forums disappear, NOTHING HAPPENED YOU'RE SEEING THINGS.

...OK, I totally broke them. Into tiny little pieces. And after reinstalling the forum software had to repopulate the whole freaking database manually. Yeah, when I break things, I break it completely. It should be OK now, but now I'm not allowed anywhere near it for fear of breaking it again :3
If you spot any problems with the board, let me know, but it should be OK now, touch wood.

EDIT: Oh yeah, in other news, keep an eye on coffeh.com, things be happening soon. Apologies if we need to disable access to the forums at any point between then and now, it won't be for very long (and I don't think we'll need to)
