Does anyone here have one of these? I was just wondering how do you like it and comparing it to a paperbck book. Also did you have any complaints about the price?

Shingi, I got a Sony PRS-550 earlier this year and am extremely happy with it. I have no comparison to other electronic readers to offer you, as I've never seen them first hand. I have read approximately 3,000 pages on it, and I absolutely love it.
It doesn't have the same warmth or evince the same nostalgia as holding a "proper" book, but if convenient reading is what you're after, there is simply no competition to an e-reader.
I'll stick with my paper books for now thanks. Not keen on E-readers at all, though I can see why they would appeal to some, they just don't have that special feeling of a book. Now if it came with something that could imitate the smell of an old book I may consider it
I've considered buying one, but couldn't make up my mind. I prefer books for many things, and for the ability to find them in used bookstores, or more obscure ones at the university library, etc. However, I could certainly see the benefits of an e-Reader (not that eReader ) for certain situations.
I was attracted to Kindle for the ability to subscribe to certain publications (particularly international ones) for a low fee, but neither Kindle iteration has a built-in light, which is a problem for some of the situations in which I'd like to read. I believe some of the Sony models do have a light of sorts, but then they don't have some of the other feature I wanted. So, I'm still hesitating.
Twitter is a good place to throw your nonsense. Wii FC: 8378 9716 1696 8633 || "How can mushrooms give you extra life? Get the green ones." -

So how do you read? Last I checked books aren't backlit either.
I have a Kindle, and I use it daily, for newspapers, magazines and books. It works really, really well - the text quality is almost identical to a regular book, and having free 3G access for wikipedia and shopping for new books makes this a brilliant investment for me.
