How do you find a shiny pokemon?
I haven't ever seen any indication of one anywhere.

You either do random encounters till one appears, breed, chain( diamond/pearl/ platinum only) or soft reset( pokemon that don't move like legends)

I was watching videos and tv, but it really wasn't that hard to focus on it. Usually if you look at videos it takes days to even a month to get shiny soft reset pokemon. MY heart gold has always been lucky though, i got 2 shinys in one day without even trying on it in my first file,( psyduck then magicarp) and 1 in my other file( maybe 2 but i forgot, the one i remember was skarmory. I was using the code to make whatever pokemon i wanted appear because i was just messing around after beating the game, and this shiny skarmory showed up. I didn't have the shiny cheat on and was surprised to see it. I never cheat for shinys.)

I don't believe any of this. Going for a shiny quest is like attempting a 'win the Lottery quest'. There's no "skill" involved, though you imply it, and your focus on shiny collecting does nothing to tip the odds in your favor.

Miyamoto on his desire to focus more on the (hard)core Nintendo fan.

[The casual] attitude is, ‘okay, I am the customer. You are supposed to entertain me.’ [...] and to me it’s kind of a pathetic thing.

You are what you eat from your head to your feet.

You'll be surprised. Some people end up doing 10,000+ SRs just for a shiny legendary. e_e

3DS games:

Mario Kart 7

Zelda OoT 3D

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Shadow Wars

Pokemon Black FC: 2666 2484 8599

Kid Icarus Uprising

Heroes of Ruin
and more.

Crime doesn't pay, unless you are really good at it then those who are legal criminals will pay you to keep their stolen goods safe.

It's quite a silly obsession, I agree. If you care that much about getting one just hack your game. If you just want the surprise and excitement of getting one in the game then just play through the game and see if you get one...

I make Pixel Art on occasion.

I can see your point but it's still fun to look for one not knowing when or what will show up. Plus i need something to do till new leaf and project x zone come out.
