Topic: Anyone ever done a shiny badge quest in a pokemon game?

As the title says have you done one before? Was it successful? Did you like it and what game? I am doing one for the first time in heart gold. I am trying to get a shiny starter to start it off. My heart gold has always given me 2 shinys besides the gyrados so i am hoping it can give me enough for a badge quest. Wish me luck. I have played this game 2 times before this so it will hopefully be a successful attempt at a shiny badge quest.

Wouldn't a nuzlocke be more fun?

It also reminds me of my first shiny, it was a Zubat. I thought my game (FireRed I believe) was just dusty, so I took it out and cleaned it. Years later and I'm still upset at myself.

That sucks but if you have platinum they are easy to chain. Also i am freaking out right now, i just got a shiny chickorita in less then 3 hours of soft resetting, on my heart gold! That is shiny number 1 for the quest now only 7( maybe 15 if i go for kanto as well) more to go!

I've bred thousands of geodudes and never got a shiny one. I feel like it is impossible!!!

I can't think of a more soul-crushing way to play Pokemon. I'd rather treat shiny Pokemon as a nice surprise than waiting to find one.

Lol, yes it can be confusing with that name. Snorlax: good luck, i love shiny cynda and was hoping for him but love my chickorita just as much . He just killed silver's cynda in one shot with tackle.

How do you find a shiny pokemon?
I haven't ever seen any indication of one anywhere.

Nice you got a shiny cyndauil, how long did it take and did any other shiny starters appear during that time? Also dunsprace is cool looking and strong for games just not online.
