It's really interesting though, when you told about it here I was just expecting something funny like most, but this is definitely different.

Yeah, I guess different's a good way to put it. It's more serious and dramatic than any other web comic I've read. It still has its funny moments, but I feel it's at its best when it's showing something heavy. Too bad Original Life is another Joke of the Day comic.

And what's your favorite chapter so far?

Also, as a side note: this fulfulls my second life goal, which was to introduce someone to my favorite webcomic and they love it! Funny, because both life goals were fulfilled on this very forum.

haha great job

I'm on chapter 13 now, but I don't know if I could tell you my favorite yet... I am liking it though.

Edit: Just finished 17, my favorite so far.

Ah, Chapter 17 is a very good one, very action packed with a nice ending. One of my top 5 for sure. Too bad the next chapter is so sad.

I'm not sure what my top favorite is. I know number's 2-5, but the very best? I just can't say. Maybe its Chapter 19, which was the first chapter I read when I first found the comic (I believe it was still on-going at the time). It's the wackiest and has the best jokes IMO, but there's still a lesson learned.

Yeah, I guess my top 5 goes like this:
1. Chapter 19: Party Girls
2. Chapter 17: Trial By Fire
3. Chapter 15: Reaquainted
4. Chapter 20: The Art of Living
5. Tied: Chapter 4: The Bedbutter Chronicles & Chapter 7: Of Mice & Idiots

sorry, I just LOVE making top lists, plus this was a good excercise for me since I had to go back through the whole comic again to try to remember them all

Yeah, but I thought the ending was decent enough, kinda leads into Original Life, too. Oh well, again, I'm glad you gave it a try and liked it. It's a good comic, but doesn't get much notoriety. I don't even really remember how I happened upon it.

so if a rabbit and a cat get together... D:

Well I'm reading Original Life now because I kinda feel I have to after that :3
I actually didn't know it was a continuation until I started it, so that's why I was sad about the other's ending.

Edit: Read it all the way up to the newest comic. I'm actually kinda liking this better than Better Days
if not because people aren't in bed every other strip

As cool as that is, please don't hotlink images from a web comic. It puts added strain on the servers and most of them can't handle it. I'm surprised they don't have an anti-hotlinking thing. Not to mention it's huge. Just post the link, that should be fine. The best thing about this forum.

Anyways, yeah Sequential Art is pretty good. I haven't read it in forever, though. May have to give it another looksee someday.

I'm also gonna have to check out this "Brawl in the Family". Everyone here's reading it.

Okay, I'll try to use photobucket or TwitPic So as not to hotlink Mickeymac.

No, that's even worse. Downloading the image from the owner's site and uploading it elsewhere means that they lose site traffic. Just hyperlink the image or the page it's on. If people are interested, they'll click. If they aren't, they'll just scroll straight past anyway.

I used to read Zelda Comic, but updates have become so rare that I've lost interest in the series. (There were a grand total of two new comics in 2010)

I read BitF, but instead of visiting the site on a regular basis, I wait a long time and then read through the archives of the ones I missed.

Aside from comics based on games, I occasionally read XKCD or The Oatmeal.

They are pretty odd, so it might appeal to you or it may not.

Again, thanks for that, man. Thanks to that I started reading Boxer Hockey. While it can be offensive at times, especially if you don't like gay jokes or cultural stereotypes, but otherwise it's hilarious! The part where they looked at Fritz's past was pretty cool, kinda touching.

I also recently remembered a comic I used to read called Rob and Elliot. It's not as good as it could be, but it's decent.

Brawl in the Family has been pretty good, I like the stylistic change about halfway through.

I used to read Sequential Art, which TokyoRed brought up not long ago in another thread. I recall it being okay.

I also want to talk about some comics I read that I didn't like:

SNAFU Comics - a Website that hosts 20 different comics, includiing the Titular "Snafu". Out of those 20 comics, I only found 1 of them to be any good (Invader Zim, a fan comic based of the TV show of the same name). They did have a few that were promising, but most either died out or just didn't go anywhere. One comic in particular had a very promising premise, but it ended up going in a really weird direction. Called "Sugar Bits" (and yes, I did not read "Bits" at first when I started reading), it seemed to be a twist on several old fairy tales, such as little red riding hood and the Gingerbread man, all wrapped up in a high fantasy-like meta-world (warning, that may be a terrible description but I'm sticking with it). Featuring everything from a pedophillic Gingerbread man to rhyming wolves that seem to be made of pure darkness, it ended up being on of the strangest and even creepiest comics I've ever read. Not to mention it was just plain bad at times - the story was confusing, there was way too much text per panel, and I can't say I actually found it as interesting as I wanted it to be. It was just a weird, creepy trainwreck.

I don't know if anyone has already mentioned it, but I tend to read the webcomics found on SNAFU - they specialise in fancomics based around characters from Cartoon Network... but updated so a wider, older age range can enjoy them. Personal favourites include Powerpuff Girls Doujinshi, Grim Tales and Sugar Rush.

While they might not necessarily (or at all) be hardcore, they are really well scripted and drawn.

I'll agree that they're well-drawn, I disagree with about the script being good. If anything they're rather amaturishly written. Sometimes they're decent but most of the time I find their comics to be laughably bad.
