Yes and no. While I thought the first 100 issues or so were fantastic, as Dave24 says the quality just seemed to be on a steady decline after that. AVGN did a good piece on it:

I didn't have a subscription of my own when I was little, but my great aunt did and I would always borrow hers after she finished it.
I was seriously considering getting a Gameinformer or Nintendo Power subscription. But Gameinformer went digital (which I don't care for, because I like the print), and Nintendo Power went under. So now I treasure my copy of their final issue and I read Gameinformer on the website, instead of subscribing.

Totally miss Nintendo Power. I know the later issues weren't as well-received as the magazine's early run, but I liked it a ton up until the Wii era (when I stopped reading it) and remained a faithful subscriber through my childhood. There's stuff like Nintendo Force to fill the void, but I haven't given it a whirl yet.

I was subscribed to Nintendo Power in the mid-2000's. I let my subscription run out for whatever reason, but sometimes I would just pick up the odd issue on a newsstand. Definitely miss it every now and then. Especially now when majority of the issues that I owned got destroyed (water leak in the attic). I was also subscribed to Disney Adventures as a young kid.
I just don't read magazines anymore, period. In high school sometimes I'd flip through a copy of a friend's Cosmopolitan or whatever for a couple cheap laughs at the advice section.
I really do miss the excitement of getting a new issue of your subscription every month though. When I was a kid, that always seemed like such a grown up thing to me for some reason.
How did Nintendo Power quality slip through the Wii era!? I loved it! There were only those occasional issues where they didn't have much news, but they still had high quality writing.

Ngamer was axed just before I got my 3DS (If it hadn't been I would probably got a year of it).
No interest whatsoever in an official magazine. (And that is the only one.)
I have read a few Retro Gamers when it had a big feature on something I was interested in. But only when I have seen them. (Which is fairly infrequently.

Freedom of the press is for those who happen to own one.
I still can't figure out why nintendo hasn't made back issues of nintendo power available for a couple dollars each on the eshop. I'd probably buy all the issues of my childhood and some important issues such as issue 1, 100, etc.

Specifically Nintendo Power. I miss the excitement of getting an awesome magazine every month that isn't filled with uninteresting advertisements.

I'm subscribed to National Geographic magazine ...so I can't miss magazine subscriptions if I still have one. And I liked Nintendo Power and I started reading in 2010 up until its cancellation...
Sure do, there was a time I was subscribed to PSM, OXM, Nintendo Power, EGM, GamePro and Game Informer. Could always expect something in the mailbox and I'd also frequent stores and pick up the latest issue of the ZD published Official U.S. PlayStation Magazine or on occasion, I'd buy a UK published mag if the book store had some in. Two other mags I loved were Next Generation and Ultra Game Players. Sadly there's almost nothing now. OXM still exists but they just kicked out the whole U.S. staff eventhough Xbox is an American brand and it would make more sense to have the main staff for Xbox coverage over here. Neither Sony or Nintendo seem interested in doing anything with print at all (can't really blame either I guess) and EGM only releases 3 or 4 times a year now. Granted, I get most of my information right on the web like everybody else but there will always be a spot on my shelf for print if it ever made even a slight come back.
