Maybe, but you forgot to mention that copious amounts of drugs and alcohol are bad for you

I left school when I was 16 cos it bored the hell out of me. 4 years later I had a load of practical work experience, where as my friends were leaving University and going on the dole or getting jobs worse than mine, awesome!

I didn't attend higher education cos' I knew I couldn't be trusted, and the smell of freedom was so enticing.

Good luck though fella, have a happyhappy time

Some people are successful without a higher education, some are not. Most of the people I know who flunked joined the military afterwards. It all depends on the choices you make.

It's all about balance my friend. As long as you follow the copious amounts of drugs/booze/sex with a nice healthy salad you'll be fine . Seriously though some drug experiences can teach you a lot more about life and yourself than a lifetime of structured education , just speaking from personal experience here I don't want to tell people to take drugs really ,but do make up your own mind about it and do some proper reasearch.Do not be scared by the myarid of propaganda spouted about drugs, they've been part of human life for a very long time and we seem to have done ok.
I'll second the shout about using protection.Good call

What's this bit for again?

I suppose, but I'm just saying to be careful what you take. Being at some parties myself, I learned from observation that mixing some things together (not going to specify) lead to 911 calls. Just use some common sense. And designate a driver BEFORE you start drinking.

Who needs a driver when you can walk the 3 hour trek singing beatles songs and pushing each other into bushes when they least expect it...or is that just me?

this this this this this. Either designate a driver, have some other way to get home, or get permission to crash there from whomever's hosting the party; don't outright trust anyone you've seen drinking who says they're 'okay to drive'. D:

@Luigi78: lol, pushing people into bushes (and the occasional post, pole, or wall) is something I do even when I'm not drunk. it's just that much fun.

A bush died when a buddy of mine jumped into it and said "Tweet tweet, I'm a bird!"

True, but depending on what major you are, Cs are not an option. I'm a science major, so I strive for As and Bs.

Yeah cool. I probably won't be about as much, just got LKS so really enjoying that (thanks man ) plus just got Reason 4.0 music software so busy messing about with that writing tunes (soooo many sounds ) I'll bob in when I can though.
Note to self: Must get FF team finalised aahhhh!!!!!

Have fun. You can do all the naughty stuff AND study. It's good for your life skills to be able to balance the two.
Learn something vocational. I studied what I enjoyed & knew I would pass but it didn't help in the job market.
After my masters degree in Political Theory I knew that I did not want to be part of the rat race & had enough time to listen to 7 albums a day. So I got a job for the next 5 years working in a record shop!

Yeah, I'm a music major, which is one of the hardest degrees there is (no joke, it's true), so Cs aren't an option for me either. Unfortunately, I've been slacking during my three years so far, so I've been getting a few too many Cs.

@Happyhappy Ignore all this good advice. Drink copious amounts of alcohol, take copious amounts of legal and illegal drugs and sleep with copious amounts of people. It's the one chance in life you can get away with it and studying is boring and when your all grown up with a job/kids/wifey you'll be glad you took the opportunity to have some fun. Learning's for losers, you got the rest of your life to learn stuff. ENJOY

People like this guy (hopefully he's kidding) flunk college and become burger flippers

No they dont, just have fun kid and remember to have a great time because it goes by really fast. I am finishing up my last year and wish I had four more.

Other advice includes:

Attend all of your classes even when you are sick! Spend your class time in class not at the mall.

Beware of online / TV courses! Sometimes, there tests are harder than the normal classes because it's harder to read wha'ts on the Prof's mind.

Take at least one Philospy class! I took 3 of those classes. Philosophy is very challenging yet fascinating and forever leaves an imprint on your mind.

And from my expierence university profs are more lecturers and commnunity college profs are more teachers. So be aware that you can spend tons of money at a good school just to have your prof act like it's benieth him to explain himself in a more clearer way to a freshman! So don't be afraid to take advanatge of some community college.
