Topic: Any active 05/06/07'ers?

I've rarely seen a few 2005, 2006 & 2007 users (not counting staff), so do any still post or quit years ago?

Geez, that's old. The oldest non-mods I can think of are Feenie and AlexSays, and they aren't nearly that old (though AlexSays is '08).
Your talking VC World, man. I don't even think Wiiware World was around until '08, since it didn't launch until then. I mean, maybe late 2007 for when it was announced?

Yeah around that time, I've seen only 2 non-admin 2007 users that are still active on this site.

How long do people usually stick around? I joined in Dec 2011.

I'm still here, and I'm from 2009.
I think most of it just has to do with people coming back for the community. It started to get fairly big in 2009, and that's the time where most of the "older" users are from that I can think of. Yeah, there's Mickeymac and AlexSays, but most people came here from 2010 onwards.
I'm guessing that the people who went to VC World weren't necesarily for the community, and even then what was there was incredibly sparse.

I'm from 2009 and this is still my favorite site.
I don't think I know any users from before 2008 though.

People tend to come and go, come and go. It's the nature of a forum on the internet — any forum, really.

that said, i just looked at the database and did the math — provided all of the signup date information is correct (it may not be exactly; there could be some hiccups from when Ant had to convert all of the old usernames to the 'a-z, 0-9, _ and -' format) NL had a total of 600 users sign up for accounts between November 4th, 2005 and December 31st, 2007. Considering we've got over 36,000 users currently in our database, that's not really a lot of names to potentially see around on a daily basis. :3

Didn't quite a few come here with the Virtual Console Reviews merger in early 2009? That's when I came here. In the beginning, I wasn't crazy about it (I don't like change) and split my time between here and the VC Forums that remains from VCR. Now, I'm a full-time NintendoLifer who actually posts (though I sometimes revert to lurker status that I keep at 99% of my websites, LOL). I know NL does go way back. I've read articles here from around the time Wii was released!
