Oh, I've heard of The Wallflower. Not sure, but I might've heard good things, too.

It's a good anime. Short and funny! The main character Sunako's odd and I like that in a female protagonist :)

@Shy_Kai
I watched half of the first Perfect Girl Evolution episode,
And I just couldn't finish it x3.
I mean I thought it was pretty funny... But here is what I had a problem with.
~I know anime/manga sometimes styles guys to look like girls. When they introduced the guys I thought they were all girls!
I couldn't look past that. Especially with the Puffed up lips of one them.
most Animation styles turn me off really quickly with anime x3. This one was okay, as it sorta reminded me of Skip Beat!
But the guys I couldn't look past x3.
I will probably come back to it one of these days to finish it x3.

Tried to read the first chapter of Toriko, but the amount of typos are freakin' absurd. Stupid fan translators. Guess I'll read it on Viz directly.

Fan translations can be a bit annoying, when I first watched Death Note via Netflix it had the official subs, and now the I'm rewatching it, over a year later, it feels a bit off since it's a fansub.

When I say pick up, I don't mean buy, I mean get into the series.

I'd say it's best to start at chapter one. There are a lot of series terms that are built up over time (Shinigami, Hollow, Zanpakuto, Arrancar, Espada, Quincy, Menos, ect), that it's best to start from the beginning (and it makes all the revelations all that more hard hitting).

Best of all, the manga has none of the filler :)

It shouldn't be hard, the real question is will you just get bored and not enjoy the series. Try reading/watching up to the end of the Rescue Rukia Arc if you didn't enjoy it by then, then just quit.

Depends on the fansub group really. There's a lot of decent fansub groups out there that even do a better job than official subs, except for Hadena, never ever watch Hadena's sub, you've got a better chance understanding the anime without subs than reading the mess they do.

Yeah, in my experience, it's best to stick with the professionals. One Piece has some decent fansubs, but I'm really looking forward to the day when I rewatch this show on DVD.

I think I finally understand the origins of my frustration with the Sword Art Online anime:

For those that can't watch the video, let me give you the brief summary; Reki Kawahara, author of the Sword Art Online light novels, mentions that he simply didn't hugely care about the world of SAO when he was writing it. On the other hand, Tomohiko Ito, director of the SAO anime, apparently did care about the world (or at least the presentation of it) and Kawahara was impressed by that while watching the SAO anime. So yeah; a boring story and kinda cliche premise (provided by Kawahara) was mixed with a well-defined and alluring world (provided by Ito).

Thanks given to Xkhaoz for that one avatar.
