Just finished the newest chapter of Bleach! Things are coming together rather nicely (I won't try to be spoilerish, but be careful reading this).

1. They revealed why the Soul Reapers wouldn't have recognized Ichigo's name (during the Soul Society arc), despite his dad being a former captain.

2. In doing so, they revealed something that has been alluded to (about Ichigo's appearance) ever since the Soul Society arc.

3. They're starting to reveal as to how Aizen knew about Ichigo since the very beginning (and it's surprisingly believable).

I found this manga called Kitchen Princess (I have no idea Where I find these things)

It's pretty funny, it's gonna supplement the lack of Skip Beat! in my life x3.

Whaaaaaa!?!? They're 12. 12!
I mean, I know a lot of manga has stuff like that. But do they really treat 12 year olds like adults?
I don't know >_<.

...Or maybe I'm just picking the wrong manga to read x3.

I watched Street Fighter Alpha: the Animation last night on YouTube! I've actually seen it once before some years ago, but pickings are a bit slim at the moment on YouTube, so I figured what the heck.

As for my thoughts on the movie, I felt that it started on a good foundation, but just sort of lost it's way somewhere along the path.

The character designs were bold & colorful, & I enjoyed the earlier parts of the movie (especially when Ryu & Ken were at their old dojo, and it was funny when Sakura was running around looking for Ryu), but when it started to get more serious, it was just, wierd...

It's like they tried to force a surprisingly dark story into it, and that just really conflicted with the bold character designs & the lighter tone of the early part of the film. It also doesn't help matters that the art style they chose can get really weird (the main villain at the end, as well as Akuma & Dark Hadou Ryu, just looked down right goofy).

At least the action was relatively good, and I believe Ken was voiced by the same guy who did Cowboy Bebop's Spike, which I found amusing.

Too creepy in places to really enjoy as a cheesy martial arts flick, yet too bold & colorful to enjoy as more serious fare, it really doesn't fit anywhere.

If you have the means, I feel like the Fatal Fury trilogy, Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer, or the Dragon Ball Z line of films & specials, would be much more worthy of your time.

To be fair, I used to see 12 and 13 year olds making out back when I was in middle school...granted, I had the same reaction...

BTW, just a reminder that Toonami's going to be an hour short this week, due to daylight savings time kicking in.

At first I thought they were going to cut the hour of Cowboy Bebop or inuYasha for the night, but according to my cable's info, Sym-Bionic Titan & Eureka 7 will be taking the night off, apparently.

BLAH.
Too many weird images are popping into my head after reading those two posts >_<.

Oh and Dumb spoiler since no one will probably read this manga (Kitchen Princess) that has 12 year olds making out!
They just killed off 1/3 of the love triangle.
But don't worry, it wasn't the guy that made out with her.
It was his brother, that got hit by the semi-truck.
End of weird spoiler segment.
Him being hit by a car reminds of Minami-ke with the running gag of that TV show they always seem to watch called Ninomiya-kun and Sensei, where she gets hit by a car. then she goes to find Sensei, then HE gets hit by a car. and then they both try to find each other and they BOTH get hit by a car again. x3
And then the DOCTOR almost gets hit by the Same car!
It's so funny x3.

Edit: (I didn't want to make a random double post.)
I'm finally gonna go watch K-on, after begin weirded out by a suggestion I watched called Princess-princess. (I don't think I can finish it x3.)
Hime! Hime!

Anyway, should I watch K-on in sub, or dub? I can't decide >_<.

Just started reading BTOOOM!! Interestingly enough, I first heard about it on NHK World's Imagine-Nation.

That first chapter was pretty awesome, and I can't wait to see where they go with this one. The story follows Ryota, a live at home 22 year old, who excels in the online multiplayer shooter BTOOOM! (a "shooter" that centers around the use of explosives rather than guns). Suddenly he wakes up on a tropical island, forced into a twisted real life & death version of the game (competing with others who have been abducted, like him).

I find it kind of ironic that game revolves around a genré that isn't even popular in Japan (heck, the manga volumes are designed to look like 360 game cases, lol).
