Cool they're going to make a English live-action Death Note movie? I think it'll be better than the Japanese one no matter what they do...

American remakes are almost always crap (at least when compared to the original) so I don't expect any different from Death Note.

I stopped with the list briefly as I had the chance to re-watch Ponyo (Japanese with subtitles). Great Film

In other news, I just found out Viz is catching the One Piece manga up with Japan! I am SO freaking psyched!

Earlier, on the TV, by chance I came across an episode of a series I haven't seen in a very long time. Beyblade.

I used to love that series when I was about 9-10. I still like it now, so I'm going to rewatch it after such a long time. I remember I stopped watching because I didn't like V-Force but I'm willing to try and watch that one again, along G Revolution and the new Metal Fusion. Feels great to watch it again after so long. Don't judge me

Saw Ponyo last night. It was really great. It proves a movie doesn't need to make complete sense to be funny and give you a good feeling about life.

Well, it helps if you have a reference point. It's more tame compared to Princess Mononoke or Nausicaa, but it's mroe intense and/or better than Spirited Away (always disliked that one, though), Howl's Moving Castle, or My Neighbor Totoro. I'm only using Miyazaki films for the comparison on purpose.

Just found a Samurai Champloo boxset (used) for $25; an absolute steal. Unforcunately, the second half of Disc 2 won't play. Oh well, that's what the internet is for.

It's still a shame not many people like Inuyasha like I do!

I've only seen a few episodes of Inuyasha but I also did a fandub of one scene on youtube. It seems like an okay series, just one that drags on for 500+ episodes. I couldn't get into something that long.

A bit of a guilty pleasure, but I've been watching NANA and have greatly enjoyed it thus far. Sure, it's just relationships and multiplying love triangles, but something is very endearing about many of the characters.

I saw Ponyo today in a small independent theatre where a guy came out and announced the movie. It was awesome. They actually sell beer and popcorn, One Screen and its film instead of digital. Loved it.

Very nice. I recommend Ponyo to everyone. I just finished Samurai Champloo and liked it a lot. Now if only Disc 2 played all the episodes like it should.

i like bleach but when is it on?

I'm not sure anymore. I wouldn't be surprised if CN pulled it from Adult Swim. They like to make their channel as horrible as possible lately. Because a Cartoon Netwrk should have crappy live-action instead.

Bleach is on every Saturday night (I forget what time). It's on for an hour (two new eps).

*I've starter following the simulcast of this religiously now. Anyone else loving Brotherhood? I really liked epi19 and epi22's ending was very well-written, complemented nicely by the closing song.
