This is a thread to talk about your past experiences and to warn other users that you're going to be at ___ Con and they'd best hide.
I've previously been to Naka-Kon ("Middle Con") 2009 and Natsu-Con ("Summer Con") 2009. I plan to be returning to both this year, with Naka-Kon 2010 being this weekend at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Kansas City, MO. Natsu-Con is in the summer, and will be somewhere in St. Louis, MO.
Of course, there are MANY more conventions than this.

Congratulations, you're the first person I've ever sorta known who has ever been to an anime convention. On purpose.
I'd normally worry about this sort of person breeding, but I think we can safely assume that he probably won't.
I thought it was a bit funny. I'm probably one of the minority who would want to go to a DragonCon and geek out, so something similiar may be said about me.
edit: and I have been doing some breeding. MAUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
I got paid $300 to dress up as......something last summer for a convention and hand out pamphlets and promo items for some anime company. It was an enormous, hot costume that had little ventilation and was horrible to walk around in. It was even tough to appreciate all of the women that wanted to give my fuzzy costumed body a hug and have a picture with them. I was supposed to say something in Japanese to those that talked with me (the characters catch phrase, I guess?), but after a few sweat filled hours I forgot what it was and settled for high-fives.
Not what you were looking for, but that's the best I've got.

Oh, I thought was thread was going to be something like "All attacks must be named, and the name of your attack must be shouted out when you use it," or "You are not allowed to attack an opponent while he/she is powering up."
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

Fun note: Otacon, from the MGS series, is named after a convention in Japan. (Ota-Con.)

I wonder if my sudden urge to call you Otacon has something to do with this thread, Objection-sama.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
