1Wheels2050Sun 30th Jun 2013 After becoming aware of the fun of modern board games, I've recently gotten into Android: Netrunner, a competitive card game. http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_minisite.asp?eidm=207 Has anyone else come across it? While it has monthly expansions released, it works with a pretty good model - if you buy a "booster pack", you get 3 of each of the new cards so there isn't a collectible aspect to it (no rare cards). It's a cool cyberpunk theme of hackers trying to break into megacorporation servers to steal information. It involves a lot of strategy, bluffing and informed guesswork. It's asymmetric (each player has different rules) so there's a lot going on in the game. I'd highly recommend it if you're interested in this sort of thing. The basic set is a full 2-player game, so it's enough to see if you like it. Let us know about your netrunning experience here! EDIT: Hmm, that sounded much more like an ad than I intended. I just meant it to begin discussion! Edited on Sun 30th June, 2013 @ 14:33 by Wheels2050 I used to have a blog link here. I'll put it back up when the blog has something to read.
