personally, i'd think weather would be more a potential problem than bird attacks (or straight up birdstrikes, idk why birds are being brought up anyway but w/e). flying in high winds, thunderstorms, and other surprise craziness could potentially turn a normal PrimeAir delivery into a bladed hailstone of freak-accidental death, lol :3

[16:44] LztheBlehBird: James doesn't know the rules? For shame!!!
@theblackdragon: Yep, that's what I was wondering... flying too low, you avoid most weather effects but have to avoid trees, power-lines, tall structures, etc., fly too high and you run into high winds, etc...
@Gioku: drone technology is good enough now to avoid mere obstacles, i'd imagine two more years' worth of dev-time would have that down to perfection. Weather prediction is never perfect, though, and growing up in Florida i saw enough storms and nastiness show up outta nowhere to know sometimes there's just no fighting mother nature, lol :3

I'm not afraid of birds and weather, I'm afraid someone would use the things for target practice. If I had some of my own, I sure would, so it's not a stretch to think of that. Oh well, this is still awesome.
My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.
@theblackdragon: Oh yeah, I forget that these things can basically "see" where they're going... so obstacles wouldn't be a problem, then. But yeah, weather... high enough winds and it's bye-bye drone! Or hard enough rain, or lighting...
They'll probably just make them unavailable during times of inclement weather.
Here in central Florida this would almost never be an issue. In the event there's a hurricane (which hardly ever happens) they could just temporarily disable the service.
Though I'm not totally against seeing the doomsday scenario of Amazon drones dropping from the sky and destroying everything in their path. This will make a good SyFy movie in the future..

you're joking, right? central FL, you're looking at delivery blackouts between the hours of 4pm and 7-10pm depending on the day and the severity of the usual afternoon storm during the summer, lol.

Why would drones want to see... people... exactly?
Well there won't be many drones in the beginning, so some of them will have to miss out on drone-on-drone action.
When that happens they'll obviously try to find the sexiest people so they can seduce them. Or take photos of them for blackmailing purposes. Depends on the ratio of insatiable to capitalistic drones.
@AlexSays: I worked outdoors all day for nearly a decade. Trust me when i say this would be a valid Central Floridian concern. Central Florida isn't the lightning capital of the US for no reason, lol.
... i guess i could say it'd help if you went outside once in a while, but that'd be mean of me. :3 if you're inside all the time, the worst you get is the occasional roof leak and the afternoon power outage thanks to good ol' OUC.

@AlexSays: i had an ID for the rat's nest but (thankfully) never had a full shift there — i worked for a third-party vendor mainly at Universal, and later at Sea World too. :3
and i've never heard of Duke Energy, but be thankful it's not OUC then, haha. :3
@smexuuuu: don't lie, you'd have a fleet of your own drones if you could. they look like fun :3
