Do you own another console from this gen like a PS4 or an Xbox One? If so what are some features you would like to have from that console on the Wii U?
Yeah, I have a PS4. Features wise there's not much I'd want on Wii U. I don't really use the 'Share' button, don't play many games online etc. My PS4 is my 'triple A' machine, while I also have a decent PC used mainly for Indie stuff.
So I know you're a "bookworm," so I'm curious, what's your favorite novel? (Or novels, if it's too hard) Maybe favorite film too?
I'm a big fan of Haruki Murakami, and I have a softspot for Women in Love by DH Lawrence. A book I also enjoyed last year was Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel. I like loads of films too, some popular stuff like The Force Awakens and The Revenant, and also quirkier things like Garden State.
Also do you watch any form of television, Netflix, anime, cartoons, cop/medical dramas, reality TV, anything?
Yeah, definitely, I watch quite a lot of stuff on Netflix and Amazon Prime (hate reality TV though!). Some examples of series I like are House of Cards, Ripper Street (a British show), Orange is the New Black, Mozart in the Jungle, Daredevil, The Walking Dead. Lots of shows!
@ThomasBW84: "I'd rather have a nest of spiders in my boxers than front up a vlog!"
Well my question was going to be "briefs or boxers?" but you already answered that one.
I get asked about once a week - "why do you always spell Ntinedo wrong?" - if you could answer that one for me once and for all it would save me a lot of trouble.
And speaking of typos - and this is prolly for Ant - in the new layout where it says "Notifications", if you hover over "Notifications" a pop up box reads "Numerb of unread notifications". I think that's supposed to read "Number". You're welcome.
Oh, it also says I have 10,504 comments. (I wonder how many mistypings of Nitnedo total?) Do I get a 10K badge or something.
Nice thread TW, keep up the good work.

I have a question for you... how did you even notice that? Do you (aimlessly) hover around things on a webpage and see what happens?
God first.

I'm going to go with favourite types, rather than individual meals! In short, Japanese or Indian.
Have you ever travelled overseas? If so, what places have you been to and what was your favourite place?
Not as much as I'd like to have done, but I've been lucky to have been around a bit. Outside of the UK I've been to Chicago, Paris, Liechtenstein (for a football/soccer match!), South Germany (long time ago, very Sound of Music landscape), and most recently Hamburg. Though I loved going to Chicago that was a tour with a Wind Band (because I'm such an alpha male I was in the school band...), so my favourite trip out of those was Hamburg. It was actually a couple of years ago to attend the Reeperbahn festival, and I was in a big group of writers 'sampling' the music events etc. It was 'interesting', and some of it a bit too CENSORED for these boards. Beyond some questionable moments I also met some amazing artists and musicians, so if you're a grown up I recommend experiencing the festival and city some time, just be careful!
How do you prepare to write a Talking Point?
I look at topics that either interest me or, ideally, are interesting to readers, so I can look at article comments, stats etc to see what y'all are currently into. I try to think of angles and perspectives that'll add clarity to a topic, or maybe encourage healthy debate. As for actually writing them, there's no real planning stage, sketching out arguments or anything like that, I just type the thing out naturally. I've always been a very opinionated person, and the fact the only gainful employment I'm eligible for is in writing is because I can normally express those arguments coherently! My degrees are in English, I'm a big reader, it's just my natural ball park.
I gave my Blaziken the nickname 'Cluck Norris'. What is the daftest nickname you have given a Pokémon?
I confessed long ago in the forums and will do so again, I'm not a big Pokemon player. I follow the series and learn about it to write about it when required, but you'll notice that features etc are done by others, like Joe from Serebii and fans on the staff! If I were to name a 'mon something weird it'd be Spartacus.
Is this just a rip-off of the Ask theblackdragon and Ask Lz threads?
@Tasuki: I know a rhetorical question when I see one, but I'm answering it anyway.
Old layout, when we clicked on our name it jumped to a page where it listed all of our comments. I comment w/ so many people on here - probably a dozen regularly, and another dozen irregularly - that I am constantly going back to my comment list to see what I've said to whom. But now, we have to click on the area where our name is and it brings a drop-down list of our notifications - I currently have 120, I'm not sure how to get rid of them - and the only way to see the comments we've written, rather than the replies, is to hover over and click on the word "Notifications". I guess I've done that so often the past few days I just noticed.

One badly worded question for you. And I hope it is not confusing, although probably be a little long winded:
There are often articles on NL that elicit a strong reaction from readers. Or events that occur that do the same. I will give an old example of EA releasing Mass Effect 3 for the WiiU at full cost when they had ME Trilogy for other systems. Or recently the developers of Ori relaying a strong emotion of frustration not having a NX devlopment kit.
When things like that happen I often wonder "where are the follow up questions"? Why has EA not been asked point blank why they did what they did. Or why the devlopers of Ori are not asked if they are so interested in developing for Nintendo where is Ori for the WiiU? This is not a NL problem of course but a general problem.
So my question is; What is your relationship with developers (AAA and Indie) as a whole, and are those types of questions asked and not responded to? Not asked? Would those hardball questions limit future interactions?
Put differently, Why do you think Companies are not held accountable for many of the comments they make and are not called out on them by the gaming media?
