It took some people longer than others. I don't think it was down long, but I'm sure that someone in charge can fill you in

Nintendo Life has been down since yesterday evening, and NL did not come back online until this morning. Still, I'm glad NL has it's own server and NL is already faster.

Nintendo Life junkies the world over, saw nothing but the 'blue screen of Mario'.

It wasn't down but for a moment last night, you guys just didn't know how to flush your DNS cache. Bunch'a luddites.

Ergh, that was the first thing I did actually, it worked fine, then I went back to the homepage and got the 'blue screen of Mario' again. So no, it wasn't quite that straight forward.

Seems that you likely had another issue with browser caching, or perhaps something else happened at that point; it certainly worked for me once I killed the DNS cache. If you look through the forum posts during the night, you'll see that the conversation never quit, so users were indeed online without any lengthy interruption last evening.

@Warioswoods- I use my wii to go online and I couldn't figure how to do that thing with it. I never bothered to go on my old window 2000 computer to see if if it was any different that way.

@ww: Yeah I admit it was odd, I reset the DNS and deleted all internet history, rebooted and NL loaded fine. I left a message in the appropriate news thread saying 'woot' or something, checked the forums, then went back to the homepage, but no joy. Refreshed the DNS again, and still no joy. I went out and when I returned it was fine. It's all good now, I just wonder how many people are still staring at that blue screen, lol.

@Machu- Yeah. I'm not sure what happened for my wii to finally be able to get back to this site. I deleted cookles on it, but nothing had happened at the time. Maybe if I would have redownload the internet channel?

It really wasn't down for long at all lol. I just went and got groceries for dinner last night and it was back up.

I did keep looking at NL's twitter site to see if there was anything going on here.

I flushed my DNS last night and this morning (11am GMT) but have only just got my fix of NL. It's worth it though for the increase in speed, thanks guys !!!!
This is good

@Stevie- Yep. Hope it works this well late nite.
16. Posted: Tue 22nd Sep 2009 18:39 BST
Yup. I cleared my internet cache and flushed the DNS three times and still no go. Maybe the internet pipes just got clogged or something.

Oh, my God! I thought the DNS just happened to me!!! I'm so relieved, because it gave me the saddest feeling of having lost all communication to all NL!! No one wants to feel like that. Welcome back, NL, and may we never go through that DNS page ordeal ever again!

I changed my avatar solely for the DNS. It just won't leave my mind! EEERRGGH!!!I need something to take my mind off the DNS; like NintendoLife.
