From my experience, i've found the key to a happy marriage. I simply ask my husband, "Would you rather be right, or happy?". Argument solved. And by the way, he gets mad when I want to play video games and he's missing American Idol, so I don't think it's always guys=video games and girls=frivilous hobbies.
Any activity that draws you away from your significant other is, by default, antisocial from the perspective of the relationship.
Not really mate, because a relationship where you are together 100% of the time, would be the weirdest thing ever. Creepy, actually, as you alluded to.
If peeps are getting dumped for playing video games sometimes, then there are some strange girls out there. It's not drug taking.

Um, that's exactly what I said. It still doesn't change the fact that video games are anti social from the relationship point of view if they pull you away from the relationship.
Like I already said, it's impossible to be social 100% of the time. But obviously different people have different views on just how much time should be spent being social within a relationship.
Phew! I lucked out with MY girlfriend! I constantly mention my video games to her, and how big of a geek I am, and she says it's cute, because I'm being honest about myself! Haha, SHE doesn't play video games though, but she is incredibly open to allowing me to play mine! ...Not that I DON'T spend time with her... >.>
