Kudos to Capcom for demanding people behave themselves in contests they're sponsoring. Clearly they're pioneers working toward a gaming world where females are viewed not as sexual objects and/or inferior beings helpless without a man around, but as proper opponents and — god forbid — human beings.

@Jumbif: sure, people are going to make idiots out of themselves, but when they're asked to stop and don't, up to the point where they go off on a rant likening sexual harassment to onions and saying what boils down to 'deal with it', that's when corporate sponsors need to take a good, long look at what they're condoning by continuing to back said idiot(s) with money. eff that guy, and eff Capcom as far as I'm concerned.

Its ridiculous that Crapcom just sat by and let that kind of ignorantly disgusting behavior go on and I don't get why some people were agreeing with the insanely moronic views that that idiot had.

I fail to see how one person saying idiotic things represents the feelings of all of Capcom. Perhaps they could've stopped it, but they can't control everything everyone says. If I enter a SEGA-sponsored event and rant about different racist or sexist topics, do I automatically destroy SEGA's reputation?

@Radixxs I don't think anyone is saying that his actions are Capcom's fault, its more the fact that they didn't do anything about it.

(b) if no attempt is made by competition staff to shut you up or boot you from the competition, then yes, in that situation SEGA's rep would certainly be hurt in my eyes — especially if it was allowed to go on over a period of days in a format available to SEGA staff for review (the way this has been allowed to happen).

No one said it reflects Capcom's own views, but that Capcom isn't doing enough to stop this sort of thing from happening. Like banning someone from a message board for using a homosexual slur.
