Topic: A less serious topic: Stuffed animals

That's okay, I'm 10. I made an owl at build-a-bear today named hootwig. It's in the picture (see post 1). I also have a seal named beluga I got at sea world. He's been in my bed ever since.

Wow, that's quite off-topic. Anyway, there's no blindfold in that picture, and the girl's name is Paula. I fully expect you've never played Earthbound, so you wouldn't have known that. But now you do!

Oh. Well, I couldn't tell, because the picture isn't that big. I knew it was earthbound, but I didn't know the girl's name.

I used to have a big collection, but they all got sold off when we moved from Chicago to San Jose just before I turned 12. It's all good because my daughter likes them; my wife is very crafty and has made many for her. Some of them are based upon vintage children's stories like Jenny and the Cat Club or Carabosse from the ballet Sleeping Beauty. She's also into Kuromi, one of the newer characters in the Hello Kitty pantheon.

Funny topic, I collect two kind of things, videogames, and... stuffed animals! I must have over 200 of them, going for the Guiness Record .
There must be like 20 I hold dear for various reasons, but the most special is a very old hand puppet that belonged to my mother, it resembles a kind of tailless rat, lost its nose and an eye long ago, I named him Toctoc when I was like 2, and it has been on top of my bed ever since .

My kid likes her and I have to agree with the Japanese minimalist design aesthetic which resulted in this cat version of Miffy. I've always liked the range though so I know a lot of the character names.

Good lord; you're sad because I don't have soft toys, but you don't know who Miffy is? An iconic Dutch children's character whose minimalist design captured the minds of kids the world over for the past 50 years and is a direct inspiration for Hello Kitty.

Chi Chi Mon-Chan is the monkey in the Hello Kitty pantheon. There are many other characters: Badtz Maru, the penguin-with-attitude (I cannot remember the names of his panda and seal sidekicks); Pandapple, the panda with an apple hat; Cinnamaroll, a dog that looks like a cinnamon roll; Charmy Kitty, bizarrely Hello Kitty's pet cat; My Melody, a rabbit and friend of the mischievous Kuromi; Keroppi the frog; Chococat, the brown kitty; Pucchi, the dog -- well that's all I can think of off-hand, but I'm sure there's others!
