Actually Puerto Rico voted in favor of changing their territorial status to becoming the 51st state back on the 6th, but like everything else it was over looked in the wake of the presidential election.

Well if America keeps going the route its going with a leader that doesnt care about anyone but himself sooner or later people get fed up. Seriously, I don't like Obama, but we had 2 poor choices, so we chose one. If these states are gonna cry over that, so be it. Live your life. I doubt he's inadequate to the point where your life stops. Compare that to Romney, where raped teens would be forced to give up education and gays couldn't marry anywhere.

I highly doubt that would have happened. Yes Romney was against abortion but to get a law changed against abortion isnt that easy. If it was it would have already happened same with gay marriage. Obama on the other hand had 4 years to do something and he didnt do nothing, and thats why some of these states have filed petitions to secede.

The country is called the United States of America, not America. The states are supposed to be recognized as sovereign republics, independent of an over-arcing federal entity... however, with the Federal Reserve private bank in control of so much on a federal level, we Americans have a lot of rich&powerful people who'll flex political muscle and wage war before they just let states declare their independence. It's gonna get hairy.
