I am mostly content with the forum. The only notable things that are missing are a Private Messaging system and a Sticky function (A search function would be helpful as well, but not necessary).

Yeah, stickies and forum search are a must. Reader reviews would be totally awesome, and PM'ing would make things convenient, though it's not really necessary.

no, no we don't.

They are behind the times, likely due to the fact basically nothing has changed in the past six months, even year.

The site is still missing a few basics that people even expected when the new site was established.

I am undecided about switching or updating the current forum....

I mean, I am used to vBulletin moreso then this but, if the majority of members feel happy about this then it doesn't need to change.

Saying that, the disability of not merging threads, cluttered locked threads, slow paced responses and such does require at least some improvements to the site.

That being said, at least members here don't mention "post counts" or "gif signatures" like the majority do, so it evens all out in the end. Also, you can catch up on what people have said if you have decided to take a break from the forums for like a week (holiday) which is nice.

The forums are in need of a make over in a huge way, post counts or gif signatures would be a bonus but not a must but no search option and no PM'ing in this day in age is bad.

Ant recently canvassed opinion on the future of these forums and is orchestrating the changes himself. Exciting times ahead

cool, really now im convinced that all this place needs is pming and seraching to make it more convienent, we really don't need a gimmick (there ARE some others besides rankings) luckily, NL stays far from that
BTW, it embaresses me to admit i don't know what sticky topics are, can you please tell me? I usually don't use forums but NL's community is actually GOOD unlike most other places.

Wooh.Can't wait for the update.Please keep the simple ,clean layout though. I can't stand fussily designed websites,so off putting.Other than that give us stickys, emoticon buttons and collapsible quote boxes.That is all...._{oh and if you can, some pictures of pretty (semi naked:optional) ladies holding various Nintendo paraphernalia,ta.}

thanks ANT!! ive been waiting for changes for a year. but please leave the format like it currently is. i dont want it like gamefaqs forums that have like 50 topics then several sub topics.
