Or rather, the fact that the comment system here at nlife seems to utterly ignore it. From what I can tell, only one of any whitespace character is ever included in a post at a time. Therefore,
no matter how many returns I hit (there was at least half a dozen a moment ago, though you'll only see one), we're still stuck with single piece of whitespace that seems to basically function as an HTML paragraph tag set to 1.5 lines.
I realize that this is probably in place to prevent excessive whitespace and/or ASCII art, but it makes creating a readable post of more than a few lines quite a chore. More often that not, you're stuck with a wall of text since the inadequate whitespace doesn't allow for proper paragraph separation.
And i like using this --- when i want to show that i'm talking about something entirely different in the same post.
Anyway, while we're at it i noticed something concerning whitespaces too.
When i edit a comment i made on the main page there will always be whitespaces between the lines i seperated with the Enter button. There's no way to make them disappear again since there's nothing shown when i edit my post again. Nothing that'd imply there's a whitespace between these lines at least.
One line works fine and what @Klimbatize just did as an example is why that should remain the case.
This. If a given wall of text isn't interesting enough to keep me reading, no amount of line breaks in between paragraphs is going to help the situation.
