Topic: Update Your Nintendo Life Game Collection Page!

@TeeJay Possibly, but even then, internet doesn't equal to open for everyone, so I still think private collections shouldn't be out of the question. And if it doesn't happen, it's currently very cumbersome (or rather, impossible) to erase the collection.
I started marking games I owned because I thought it was just some sort of playerbase counter to show how many people have what kind of connection to a game (not who specifically, though). The whole game collection thing slipped past me, and now I'm stuck with it.

@antdickens: I just thought I'd let you know about a mistake I made when submitting Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2. Instead of adding the GCN and GBA versions separately, I just specified different systems under Submit Games>Release Dates. Release dates aside, everything about the two is the same (eg. # players, publisher, developer, genre, series & Wikipedia page).

It creeps me out to no end that anyone can just go out and peek at my gaming collection

No one is looking at your collection of games. In fact, I'm sure more people are judging you by your actions on this very forum rather than your insight on what video games you own.

Just googling your name I found that you post on gamespot and gamefaq as well as your miiverse account... CREEEEPY!!!
Your signature alone tells me more than I'd ever want to know about you. How's that podcast going? lol

@antdickens: Is it possible for us to add developers/publishers? I just tried to add "Lego Island 2: The Brickster's Revenge (GBC)", but there was no option for "Lego Software" as a publisher.

Edit: I'd also like to add a game developed by Mass Media.

@OneBagTravel I don't care. I'm paranoid about people sniffing around everywhere. Besides, I never posted on Gamespot, they just share the boards with GameFAQs, so my posts show up on that site, as well. What I generally do on the internet, I tend to do with the general assumption that somebody at some point WILL be annoyed enough by me to try and dig up something to attack or threaten me with (because it's the internet), so I'm keeping it at providing as few information as possible.
As for the podcast, nothing changed so far - I'm still "preparing" to start it. Be afraid.

@antdickens Setting my personal issues aside, wouldn't it be a good idea to have a delete button for the game collection, or at least the ability to remove games entirely from it? It's possible somebody clicked on one of the "Game Collection" tabs by accident, despite not having anything to do with the game.

@Kaze_Memaryu You know, although it wouldn't be on this website, you might want to try putting your collection on Backloggery. I'm almost certain that if you adjust the privacy settings you can be the only one to view your collection and have it totally private.

@FriedSquid But that's the thing: I don't want a game collection. My memory is good enough to remember what I played and what I didn't, and I never have any sort of "backlog" to speak of - either I finish a game in a reasonable timeframe after starting it, or I drop it for good. I don't need a game collection, and even if I did, backloggery would be the last place I'd try.

@Kaze_Memaryu: There is a remove button. I've used it. It should be on the game collection page if you look at a game (and if not, the game's site page).

I'm really loving how this is being handled so far! The total collection looks nice and whenever I add a new game it quickly gets added to the site, with just one exception (though that's an obvious exception because it's a Dutch game). I can't wait until new features like other ways to sort your collection or a way to see other people's collection more easily.
I do agree that being able to add your amiibo collection would be nice, though I understand why that isn't an option yet. Amiibo would take a whole different cataloging system from the games on the site.

Just filled in as much as was available to my collection and previously owned sections. There are still quite a few missing, but it is a big undertaking to get them all. I suggested Golgo 13: Top Secret Episode for NES to test the feature, but there were more. I was surprised by some of the ones that were missing, Like Final Fantasy Legends II when FFL:I and FFL:III appear.

But overall it is a nice add to the site.

I'm wondering why is there an option for both 'Not for me' and 'Don't want it'. They're two ways of saying the same thing.

So I just finished going through my 3DS and Wii U collections (including things on my Wii Menu) and I have almost 350 games just on those two systems… I need to play some of them. One heck of a backlog lol

I don't think this counts as a necro… if it does sorry. Maybe we should start a "Show off your Game Collection" thread somewhere… unless there is one and it just didn't show up when I searched lol

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

I don't have to the time to add games, it look me hours to just do my backloggery page alone.
