I am trying to construct an amazing video game center. Your suggestions are appreciated.

1. TV or Gaming Monitor? I prefer, actually, smaller size screens when playing video games. So, tv wise, 32" is the max I want to go. The tv/monitor I choose, I also want to be able to watch movies and stream content. I have an NES Classic, and hope to get a SNES or Super Famicom Class as well as perhaps a Switch and other systems, as funds allow.

2. Table. I prefer to play video games with the monitor/tv on a table. Hard to find one that is not super bulky or expensive.

3. Chair. A chair that is good support and super comfortable.

Thank you.

Thank you.

1) I play on a 32’’ Toshiba HD tv. Nothing fancy, but has a couple of hdmi ports, usb, SCART and composite inputs. I sit about 2-3 metres away, so for gaming it is fine. For anything much smaller (say 19’’) a desk might be better. You might want to get some extension cables for the controllers on the mini consoles (or go wireless with 8bitdo controllers).

2 and 3. IKEA has some decent options for cheap and cheerful. A basic lack side table is under £10 and there are some basic tv benches for not very much. They also have some comfy chairs as well for gaming. If you’re on a real budget the Pelli is £40 and perfectly comfy for game sessions. Check charity shops and gumtree, people are often giving chairs and tables away for little to nothing. The couch I use on my game room was £5 on there the other day!

Happy hunting!

Ikea has some great options and ideas.

We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.

IKEA is definitely great for tables and chairs, recommend an smaller LG TV they've always done well for me.

Make sure to get a desk to is right level for your viewing, I prefer mine to be slightly lower than eye level.
