I really wish you guys would stop appending every single article and news post with a plea for your readers to engage in the comments section below. Internet comments in general are sleazy, harmful, pointless wastes of space and bandwidth, and only the most obnoxious and vile fraction of any site's readership actually participates in them. A brief glance "below the fold" at Nintendolife shows your situation is no different, and you are doing a disservice to everyone with your desperate attempts to foster community engagement. It's hard enough to ignore the giant pile of reeking garbage that is the comments section peaking its head up from below every single post without you incessantly reminding us that it exists.
On that note, I wish Nintendo itself would follow this advice, considering the amount of disgusting, hateful vitriol you see in the comments section of literally EVERY SINGLE ONE of their YouTube videos.

I'm not sure what "pleas" you are reading...

As a moderator, I've seen plenty of reasonable discussions in posts and forum threads. And if you think comments are pointless, then why are you posting here?

People will post comments either way.

By reading the last sentence in the post, you can most likely see "Comments" below it.

On that note, Nintendo and its moderation has no relevance to this site.
If you truly do not wish to look at comments, then don't look at them.
Are you serious? From the first six posts currently on the front page:

It's certainly a unique way to advertise the game, but will it prove effective, or just weird people out? Let us know your opinion by posting a comment.
Let us know if you like the lines and styling of the Mario Kart 8 Race Wheel in the comments below, or if you feel that Nintendo should have tried something a little more different this time around.
