Topic: Reasons when reporting posts

I reported a couple of spammer posts a few days ago, but the posts are still there right now. (They are that post over there and the one right below it. The first of those posts is one of those spam posts that quotes an earlier post and appends an irrelevant spam link, and the second is a no-substance post by someone whose profile is spammy.)

I suspect that the posts were left there because there didn't immediately appear to be anything wrong with them, but if I could've explained what was wrong with them, the situation would likely be different. Plus, a report function would reduce the risk of a report being interpreted as false. So I think that a report reason field (like the one on Miiverse and other sites) would be useful.

I think it's a good suggestion. I did notice that Push Square has a Report Reason field. It would be a good idea to implement here.

Yeah, sometimes reporting a post without giving any reasons makes me feel like I may come out as naggy or something.

I would feel more comfortable reporting comments if I could explain why I reported them.

Honestly, it seems like common sense, I'm surprised that this site doesn't do that.
