I think we should be able to do one of those 1-10 rating things like on IGN because some people review genres they dont like or dont agree with prequel scores and just one up what they think it should have been (drake)

Rating games would be good, I'd like that. But how do you stop Machu giving all turn based rpg's a 0? How do you stop Adam giving all 3d games a 0? How do you stop the spam-fest? It could get messy, quick.

How do you stop a slew of different, well-thought-out scores when Corbie comes along.

@Machu: that's why they announced they were working on a 'reader review' thing a while back, where readers could put up a paragraph or so about how they felt about a game as well as (or in place of?) a plain old number rating. I dunno how it's coming along, but poor Ant is so swamped with features to implement... D:

@thescaryboolady: Written text would be preferable to a poll like rating, ya know, one of those slider things you see elsewhere, because they would be abused (not by me, obv). And I know he's busy bless him, the more he gives, the more we want. There's no rush.

I'm not to bothered about user ratings as the Metacritic rating is displayed for most games to give a idea of what other reviewers have said about a game, The reader review function should be good though when it is launched alonside the Wii 4

Back when this place was still VC Reviews, we were able to rate games...

User reviews would be cool and nice, but if you're talking about the "official" reviews being done by us people, then that's not much of a good idea. Most people have already talked about how some people would automatically give some sort of game genre a 0, but I'll just the comments above mine explain that fact.
