Topic: NintendoLife region locking comments section

I just found out I can't post comments on the Luigi coin promotion article beceause I'm not a UK resident.
"Sorry, you are unable to comment on this content because it is intended for a different region."

NLife, is this really necessary?

well maybe the last time a North American joined the contest to be a troll and somehow won.

Was basically so people from other regions don't moan about not being able to enter and why can't NL do contests for NA and that sort or thing. So honestly I can see them region locking the comments section where most of those comments would be people whinning and crying.

Uh-huh, when they did a contest for multiple regions (the Legend of Zelda collectors guides set), guess what, everyone who wasn't included in the competition was complaining in the comments section!

I can understand them locking the comment section for comps honestly.

I understand why they region lock, but I disagree with them actually doing so. Really, it's not the end of the world though, bro. It's a post on a fansite of a video game company.

I was just gonna give one of those "awesome" type comments, but couldn't. It would look very nice next to the Mario coin I got in 2007 with Mario Galaxy. Yeah there's a lot of whiners, but we get this every week with Nintendo Downloads section. Still no SMB3 in NA region, LOL! Also people from NA can still vote in the EU "What are you going to download this week" polls and visa versa.
