Topic: Invasive Website/Ad

My PC is down for the count still...

I haven't seen any redirect issues in a week at this point...

@anddickens Just thought I'd mention that I found another problematic ad. This one's not a redirect (thank goodness), but is does automatically open a popup or two;

@shinesprite: thanks for letting me know, I will report this one, to confirm you're not seeing this on other websites, just NL?

@antdickens There's a Totino's Super Mario Maker advert pop-up that's impossible to close using certain mobile devices or the Wii U browser. You have to literally close the page and come back and hope to heck it doesn't pop-up again.

@antdickens: That is correct, but it more commonly shows up if I navigate to the site via a google search.
I must of seen it half a dozen times on Tuesday, but I haven't come across it since.

@antdickens I'm getting a Malware warning on this site and the dodgy taboola ads are still present on the article pages. The taboola situation is present on sites like Eurogamer and Nintendo Everything too. How do you post images? I'll put some down below.

@rumblevolcano you can post images using something like http://imgur.com/ if you like? That would be super helpful!

@antdickens The first image is taken from the most recent Twilight Princess HD article.

@Grumblevolcano thanks, Taboola is normal though - the quality of the articles it shows is dynamic so everyone will see different things (it's not a threat!) as for the Malware Alert, that just looks like an advert for Norton, is it not?

@antdickens: Lots of entries on google search say about Taboola being adware and I've seen a few "Start Download Now" ads appear there before.

@Grumblevolcano: I've never seen anything like that, it's a legit service but obviously a target for malware if it was on your system (just as a potential). Screenshot and send me links to anything that looks bad thanks!

I have been having some ads that move the whole page down after about 5 seconds. So I load into a page, look at what is on it, then 5 seconds later I am about to click a link and the page jumps down, normally making me click on the ad. It is kinda annoying. Doubt there is anything that can be done about it.

That happens to me 100% of the time when navigating the site. Even on the mobile version.

I often leads to unwated threads.

I usually just wait for it to happen before doing anything.

@antdickens: I don't think it's any specific ad in my case. The site just loads first, and then the ad loads and pushes it down.

Some ads load faster, so it's less noticeable. Others take some time. Others are taller. Etc.

Maybe it would be fixed if the site loaded with that space already "filled".
