Topic: Images?

I love this place but something bothers me. The way images are handled. When you click on them, sometimes they grow and sit in the middle of the screen (which I personally prefer, since I can continue to read the article without having to have lots of tabs, or keep back-and-forwarding), sometimes they link to a completely different page (a gallery of pics), and sometimes they just directly link to the *.jpg (or whatever format) image file. It seems a little inconsistant.

Its to do with the variation used with the BB code that is used to link to the Image, I am not sure what varation produces which result exactly but know that if you use

{img}Image address here{/img} Replace { } with [ ]

This will insert the image directly into the post like this

Maybe someone else can elaborate on the other variations.

I mean the images on the website itself, rather than the forum. Apologies for the lack of clarity, but yeah. I know how to do forum images

Its probably still the same reason, with different admins posting articles/reviews/etc on the site each may use a different format, however I am guessing now so hopefully someone who shirks works here can help answer your question.

I think that's down to the site code. If it's a review the images are randomly chosen from a pool of the ones in the database; if it's a news article they're uploaded by the author, but in neither case are the authors putting in their own tags. Ant would have to answer how that's treated differently by the software for the site.
