Can somebody help me? As you can see, I love the Wii, however, I've been addicted to the computer, which kept me out of my Wii for awhile. So I'm asking for help on how to break my computer addiction and be able to play my Wii daily again without being ashamed of not going on the computer 10 hours a day. So, if you have any ideas of how I can break my habit on my computer, I would greatly appreatice it.

We've all been there mate, you'll get bored eventually.

EDIT: Just be vigilant. I surf way too much (and play TMNF) but make sure I have a good session of Wii each day. And by session i mean 3 hours +.

No not all of us.

Some of us have great self-control and don't suffer from any "addictions".

And 10 hours a day? Yeah there's nothing anyone could say in this thread to fix that.

Unfortunately, there is no cure. You have several treatment options: Read a book, play a sport, go to a movie, run, swim, play music, maybe work (though I don't recommend it, I usually just end up on the computer when working anyway), etc. However, these are all at best a stall. Recurrence rate of this affliction is extremely high.

EDIT: Whoa, 10 hours a day? That is bad. Find yourself a hobby, man, preferably an outdoor one.

I'm sure you'll find some unimaginably freaky site while surfing the web. It should keep you off the computer for at least forever.

It may scar you for the rest of your life though, so that may not be the best option...

Super Smash Bros Fan 1999 I know what you mean. I seem to spend more time reading abou games online than playing them!
I'm gonna have to go cold turkey though as I move house tomorrow and may not be reconnected to the internet for a while :(

Use feeds in your browser, reduce your top favorites pages (Nintendo Life the first, eh?) and stop reading again and again the same boring things along internet (new Metal Gear game, New Super Mario Bros. Wii will have new color costumes for Mario, etc.).

And of course, purchase a good book (I recommend The Song of Ice and Fire saga) or play a good game in Wii.

Life has too much things better than read Internet 10 hours a day.

P.S.: Once again, sorry about my bad english.

I work at a computer for 10 hours a day and my main hobby is writing, so that pretty much ensures that I'm on the computer way too much.

Just try to break it up a bit. Go outside, hit the beach, take a jog, read a book in the shade. Learn an instrument. Meet a girl. (Are there still girls in real life? Or do they all live on nudie websites now?)

10 hours per day if you include work is something I almost always exceed -- but if you're talking about 10 hours without including a job in the calculation, that's a bit much. As for how to break it, I think the general suggestions above circling around finding another hobby, diversifying your free time, are relatively helpful.

@chicken brutus- yup, they are all in nudie sites and myspace/twitter/facebook

On topic: its hard since a computer is accessible, so try making it harder to get access to the internet, lock it in a room and put the key somewhere where you wont feel like looking, like under the refrigerator, you will begin to get discouraged and will learn that its not worth it

Get a very uncomfortable computer chair, after 1 hour you will not want to sit there much longer.

This is good

So basically you're leaving one screen and going to another....seems counterproductive, i'd say do what Adam said and go outdoors or play sum sports/get exercise cuz otherwise going from computer to wii wont really help u much in the long run.

I'm pretty sure this is a joke, I don't think anybody could believe there is actually a cure to an addiction that isn't real. Anyways I get pretty bored of being on the computer after an hour or so because I don't PC game anymore. What do you do on the computer that keeps you on for hours?

BTW lol @ "(If it doesn't have too much mature content)" in your signature, that's a bit sad if your not joking.
