The EU e-shop news updates have been getting later and later (bar a couple of exceptions). This week we have nothing even though Nintendo put out their press-release yesterday. In the meantime we've had ten other news stories including silly articles about hacked versions of BOTW posted. Why does the NA news go up so fast when the home region of this site so unimportant?

MyNintendo updates also get passed over. There are two new sets of discounts and wallpapers but no mention of it on this site at all.

These are valuable articles to me, and judging from the comments on this week's NA e-shop update, valuable to many of your readers too.

Just wait until Fortnite drops. Can't get enough Fortnite articles at Kotaku et al.

I currently am a little irritated aswell regarding this site's choices which news to cover.
There is nothing wrong about posting a short article about a hacked BOTW-version or BOTW-cooking magazines on Etsy or whatever.
However it becomes confusing when major news are left out completely at the same time.

Also I don't like how rumours and leaks get articles that often. Somehow I have the impression (though this may be just a feeling) that this has gotten worse in the last years.
The worst example was the article about Fallout 76 getting presented at E3 since there is not a single hint that it is coming to Nintendo consoles. Sure its good to be informed about games outside Nintendo platforms, but not on a site called "Nintendolife".
It just gets peoples hopes up for nothing.
Another downside of the rumours posted here is that they are mentioning titles of rumoured upcoming Switch games in the headlines of their articles making it impossible to ignore (except by not visiting this site for about 2 months)...

I love the mixture of random and "important" articles on this site, escpecially combined with good reviews and some great articles on gaming history or japanese culture or other neat pieces of infotainment. Please don't let this go downhill.

Never want to come down, never want to put my feet back down on the ground.

We know your pain. The lateness for Nintendo Download is sadly beyond our control as we've been receiving the necessary information later than usual. The EU download update is being created as we speak, we received the detail from Nintendo less than ten minutes ago.

No idea why.

@AlexOlney but the press release was up on Nintendo's site before 4PM, and one reader even made their own summary in the NA comments section. Other N sites had the info up. I do appreciate that you don't just copy and paste this one, and the value added part is definitely valuable. I just don't understand why you are waiting for press-releases instead of getting the info when it's available?

@AlexOlney Thanks for the answer !

As we're at it : why aren't you guys reporting the discounts and deals in the USA eshop updates ? I go and get them on another site but I'd rather have them right here if possible.

@riChchestM These updates on the NUK site don't detail everything new (no idea why). For example Parallel (34BigThings), Otto (34BigThings), and One Strike (QubicGames) are not listed on the NUK site, but are listed in the official press release, and can be seen in our Nintendo Download article:
https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2018/06/nintendo_download_7t...

Also not listed on NUK are preorders for upcoming games like Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate. We like to be as complete as possible the moment the article goes live, so we wait for the nitty-gritty, full-detail version that they send out to press.
