Topic: Changing our own usernames

Waiting for this function is getting really tiresome, and the mods aren't doing name changes until it's available (which Prosody told me two months ago would be in the near future)... I'm getting a little impatient here. When do you guys plan to incorporate this?

Guys? only one person doing all the coding on this site, I'm sure when he has the time he'll get round to it, but its not like the site has a team of coders or anything, its just phat_ant as far as I'm aware, so don't expect changes to be too rapid.

I was told it would be in the near future, and upon further enquiry I've been told it is still on the way but requires a bit more testing. For now you'll have to stick with your current username a little longer. (Incidentally, that wasn't two months ago, it was February 8th )

Self name changer? That sounds like trouble waiting to happen

I do not see where it is that big of a deal. Just make sure you select a username you want and no problem.

We'd make sure users could only use certain words and you could only change it once every ninety days or so. It's something we would still police, so don't worry, there wouldn't be that much trouble

A function that allows you to change other people's username.

i know other sites use that to raise money for server fees and whatnot, but it's too easy to abuse, lol.

as i mentioned, too easy to abuse, and the admins would be inundated with requests by people crying to have their names changed back. :3

I really want to capitalize "Protozone" and get rid of ".quadrant"

The name I need it to be changed to is "SuperMarioFan1995".
