What if all new users are required to post first in the Newbies Thread? If they only post links, they are auto banned.
Either that or maybe have it where admins have to grant users posting access.
I remember back in the day when I played World of Warcraft I would join guilds and they would have their own sites. You couldn't post until an admin okay'd it. You view the site all you wanted but just couldn't post.
Maybe a system like that where you can screen potential users and that way when the see repeated regions like these guys the admins just don't grant them posting privileges.

@Tasuki That would be a great system, but this site doesn’t have nearly enough mods to execute it correctly. Besides, what if there is a user from Bangladesh that genuinely has a question but is denied because of their location?

I have seen a lot more chances to win free Amazon gift cards. I should try that out sometime. (Btw, I use mobile, so the Amazon gift card pop-ups are very frequent and annoying. I blame Safari.)
why is this happening on Nintendolife in particular?
like, this is such a very specific website to be targeting with bot links.
I can understand Facebook, or Twitter, but nintendolife? I don't get it.
