I'm more annoyed at those Young Link spammers, arrow after arrow after arrow.

It’s like playing whack a Mario in a room full of warp pipes. Untouchable warp pipes. That giggle when you approach them. And shake.

Shaking, giggling warp pipes that fling Mario clones all over. That’s the internet.

How about having to confirm your account with a phone number?

How bout making it so anyone from the country region they are coming from cant post links since it seems all they can post is links.

What if all new users are required to post first in the Newbies Thread? If they only post links, they are auto banned.

Either that or maybe have it where admins have to grant users posting access.

I remember back in the day when I played World of Warcraft I would join guilds and they would have their own sites. You couldn't post until an admin okay'd it. You view the site all you wanted but just couldn't post.

Maybe a system like that where you can screen potential users and that way when the see repeated regions like these guys the admins just don't grant them posting privileges.

@Tasuki That would be a great system, but this site doesn’t have nearly enough mods to execute it correctly. Besides, what if there is a user from Bangladesh that genuinely has a question but is denied because of their location?

@MsJubilee I have clicked on a good majority of them. They are usually only broken links or powered by Weebly.

I have seen a lot more chances to win free Amazon gift cards. I should try that out sometime. (Btw, I use mobile, so the Amazon gift card pop-ups are very frequent and annoying. I blame Safari.)

LadyCharlie

why is this happening on Nintendolife in particular?
like, this is such a very specific website to be targeting with bot links.
I can understand Facebook, or Twitter, but nintendolife? I don't get it.

@CharlieSmile Maybe they got blocked from FB and Twitter and discovered that NintendoLife has a very large amount of users and active forums?

Sites are gonna get bots, regardless. Maybe Ant could try one of those capcha things. shrugs

@GyroZeppeli I doubt they're bots, more like one of those spam factories in India or Bangladesh.

Anyway, best is to report them and ignore them, don't give them the attention they want.
