Let me say that the mod here do a great job and I am not criticizing them but for months now every day several times of the day and night we get hit with spammers leaving links to watch illegal sporting events.
Usually in the past you guys have stopped spammers from repeating or even groups of spammers spamming the same thing but these guys seem to just keep coming?
It's not like they have been going on for a few days they have been going on for months. It's starting to get annoying and disruptive now. So why are they not being stopped? Again not critizing just curious.

@Tasuki I don't know why the algorithm doesn't detect them. New thread and the OP is just a bunch of links; that's usually the stuff that gets marked as spam immediately.
@Tasuki They are not all coming from the same place. I would imagine that whoever is doing this isn’t dumb enough to just use the same IP, either. They must be using a loophole to pass the spam detectors.
IP banning unfortunately only goes so far, especially since even home IP addresses can easily change/not remain static. They could try banning all IPs in a similar pool I suppose, but then they'd run the risk of banning innocent users as well.
I'm not sure I have a more plausible solution. It probably wouldn't hurt to tweak the spam algorithms a bit?

@Tasuki I do believe that their source is in something like Bangladesh or India, but NL can only see the country they registered (which is obviously a different country from where they operate). I assume this is also happening at PS?
I don’t understand what benefit anyone can get from these bots. The links they send are all either broken or direct to weebly sites (I’ve clicked on quite a few of them), nothing that could possibly let them have a user’s personal info.
@goldensglobe is the next target. Interestingly enough, he’s also using a tag related to the WiiU, Wii U eShop.
@GyroZeppeli It's usually something current in the world of sports, such as Mayweather vs Tenshin boxing match, however many have posted links involving something with "worldjuniorstvs". Now there was that spambot spamming about the Golden Globes >: U
@SheldonRandoms It might be some foreign group that is trying to westernize itself. This is obviously not how it works, but it also seems like they think Wii U is still a thing. They would get a lot more attention by having Switch tags, but this is just a theory.
