This is one thing that's been bothering me for awhile. When people upload avatars on NL, the image file is uploaded in the same format and quality, but on the site it's drawn in JPEG quality. While this is fine for some of the busier avatars, this makes some of the other avatars, especially the ones I've created (since they're pixelart) look bad. I'm guessing you have them stored on the server in two different sizes, the one that's publicly displayed being in JPEG format. (Bandwidth saver?)
So, here's a suggestion/request for the future: If the image is already 60x60 pixels, don't shrink the quality to a JPEG.

- 60x60 JPEG with perfect quality compression from .png notice it's alot better quality than when you upload it to the forums. It does not matter though, it still scrambles the quality JPEG or not.
