At the risk of hurting your ego, please take this constructive criticism to heart.
I know you're trying to make this forum run smoothly by locking threads but I feel it's premature in some instances.
Example 1: My thread on the HDretrovision was locked and recommended to move the discussion tot he kickstarter page. However kickstarter has nothing to do with this product and I was simply making the existence of it aware for people on the retro gaming forum. Since it was a retro gaming specific item.
*Take time and assess what the thread starter sets out to do. I believe the lock was a bit much and premature. The topic was relevant to the subforum it was posted in.
Example 2: I realize I'm not a retro player - 3 pages and you feel the discussion is over? I know you're just 19 but you really made the call that this topic was over already? If this is what to expect out of the subforums here then I guess we'll all have to walk on egg shells in the fear of a thread closer.
*I don't recall seeing any name calling or rule breaking, more just people discussing what makes a retro gamer. At your attempt to consolidate down every idea to one topic you're silencing any subsequent ideas that aren't in tune with the "home thread".
I enjoy coming to this site to discuss gaming but it appears you're making it harder to do so.
I'll unlock this thread so I can respond. First of all as @octane said please use the contact form in the future. Secondly the HDretrovision thread originally had a kickstarter link, hence why I redirected it. If you had just used the site you changed it to it would have remained unlocked (as I have just changed it to).
As for the "I realize I'm not a retro gamer" it seems highly redundant to keep it around when the original question was a user complaining on how hard old games were, that conversation quickly changed to just retro in general (hence why I redirected).
Lastly bringing my age into your complaints seems completely unnecessary and quite frankly I'm extremely irritated.
But as I said, I'll unlock the cable thread since you adjusted, in the future use the contact form instead of creating a thread telling me how to moderate.
