Topic: Advertising Breaking the Site

New advertising "Sponsored by Bonami" is hijacking the page whenever I try and view this site on Chrome desktop. If I get that particular ad, it plays an autoplaying and unskippable ad for Dog Food, and prevents the page from scrolling away from the ad. At this point, I've given up and blocked ads on this site until this is dealt with, as having every third page completely unreadable until RNG gives me a different ad is not okay.

Old thread, but seemed appropriate to raise this issue here - I've recently been getting ads on this site only that regularly try to open pop-ups and occasionally succeeds in opening a new window to a scammy "Your mobile is infected with 1000 viruses, click here to fix!" type thing. Makes it annoying to navigate the site and a bit unnerving incase I click through to these by mistake. Is anyone else getting these?

Yeah I got that same antivirus pop up on my phone many many times on this site last week, it was bad enough that I moved from chrome to opera to block ads completely.

Yeah I just use Adblock, I'm sick of dealing with all those problematic ads in general.

@antdickens I've been getting pop ups last couple of days. On an Android mobile.

@Clacko thanks, we’ve reported this to the ad provider and it should be blocked soon.

There's an ad with a night sky that keeps extending the length of the page, I don't know what it's for but it's getting annoying.

Any update on this @antdickens, I think the ad may be for Gone Home but it's not displaying correctly.

@Grumblevolcano do you have a screenshot? I don't see an issue with that campaign myself.
