@antdickens I imagine the fees Google would charge were they to apply Wallet to become a PayPal/Amazon Payments substitute wouldn't be terribly different. I get the feeling there's not much incentive to get into the payment processing business unless you're raking in big fees. Technically the direct card processors like Stripe are cheaper and make more sense for a need like this...but on the other hand it's a turnoff to have to risk CC#s in yet another one-time-use service (I've turned down several products and services I otherwise wanted to pay for, expressly because they required such a processor and didn't allow PP/Amz etc, personally.) It's definitely not an easy set of decisions....
HI, I just want to apologize for acting like a jerk. After having a day to think about it, I realize I come off as a bad cookie & just want to say I'm sorry for acting like one.
@antdickens I do not use adblocker on this site, but I may have to start using it at work while on break. I've been getting ads for some mobile games that are... well pretty much right on the edge of what you can get away with on iOS and the Apple app store.
I personally have no qualms about pervy anime, but it's a little awkward checking the site at work and worrying if there's going to be an ad for an anime elf girl who looks... shall we say "hot and bothered"?

@Heavyarms55 You do know the ads are based on your search history right. So of you are getting anime girl ads it's because you have been searching anime girls, and thats not Ants fault.

@Tasuki That's a load of nonsense. This isn't even my computer. The machine in question is new too. And I don't see these ads on other sites, only here. I don't know what kind of services websites use for ads, but I get different ads here than elsewhere. What I have been seeing here is a lot less safe for work than on other sites. To be fair, perhaps I just shouldn't read the site at work, but that's a separate issue in my opinion.
I have no person issue with anime or anime girls, in fact I like them quite a bit. It's just not something that is okay to have on the screen at work.
[edit] funnily enough, I returned to the same computer and now it's nothing but golf ads. And I know I don't look up anything golf related. XD
@Heavyarms55 Ads have become wonky in the past few weeks. I got those anime malware game ads on some sites(hell even on youtube), and I know I'm not searching for them. It must be a glitch; they'll go away. If they don't, well use ad-block.

@MsJubilee I do use adblocker on most sites honestly. I only turn it off on sites like this, where I know they're smaller and really do need the money. Google and Yahoo can kiss my rear, but Nintendolife? They deserve the money.

@Heavyarms55 it can be related to history on that browser, for sure. Can you email me a screenshot of the ads in question though? Then I can investigate further as we don't want pervy anime ads either [email protected] thanks!
@antdickens If I run into them again. I will. But I think I figured it out. It's a work PC on a network shared with 30 odd other employees. I thought the history thing couldn't be accurate because I wasn't looking at that content at work on any work computers.
That doesn't mean no one else is. Like the art teacher. In fact, she gets pictures of anime characters for the students to use a reference material for art club - there's the anime connection triggering them. And we have a new system installed just after the new year - meaning there's a lot less search history built up to drown it out. It would also explain the confusing golf ads I was getting after the anime ads - as some of the other staff like golf.
Alright. I'll send them if I see them again. But I don't think it's going to be an issue going forward.
Ironically I don't mind ads like that at all on my own PC. But I don't usually get them because I keep my browsing history clean.

For some strange reason, this site keeps telling me it has noticed an ad blocker, and want me to whitelist this site... but I don't have an ad blocker installed.
