I know, NintendoLife likes to keep it simple, but adding is a Preview page button would be great.

you may want to explain, as i think i know what you mean... but i'm not sure. and if i'm not sure, the powers that be may not be sure, either.

Yeah, I don't really know what you mean by a preview button.

I don't really give a damn anymore.

It's when you wan't to preview what you've wrote down on your post to see how it looks, including your picture or video links as well ect ect. Instead of clicking 'post reply' right away hoping to see if the layout turns out how you wan't it. If not, you'll end up editing your post resulting in one of those ugly 'edited by blah blah' at the bottom of your post :p

And honestly, It's getting really annoying having to type my own emoticons and fonts, It would be much better if they added this in a selection screen. The same goes for posting Images and Youtube videos ect....It would save time. Again I understand NL want's to keep their boards super simple, but it's a tad TOO simple. And while they're add it, they need to add .5's to their scores. I kid, I kid, :D

I don't see the difference between posting and editing and previewing and editing...

@ravage: in a preview, what you do is not officially posted for others to see yet. You have the opportunity to tweak your code to make sure you got everything right before you hit 'submit' or whatever and actually post to the forums so that you don't look silly if you got something wrong. :3

I'd like to see a preview button for when you change your avatar, just to see if it fits nice.

I understand that, but so much fun comes from someone making a mistake :3

Would be nice, though we already got an edit button so it's not that big a deal.

I use preview buttons on a different forum - they come in handy when you are posting pictures.

If there was a separate button that would be nice, but I hate when forums force you to preview your post and then you have to press reply again--that's just annoying

It defintily should be a seperate button. And I know there's an edit button, but the problem is it doesn't give you a preview of what you have done. Causing you having to go back to edit your post several times to get it to your liking. But the biggest annoyance is that once you edit something it shows that ugly 'edit text message' in the bottom right hand corner of your post.

C'mon a preview button is so needed! :p
I know you guys love to keep it super clean and simple on this site, but what's the big deal if a simpe preview button is added?
Look at the bottom right corner of my post, there it is! That ugly message, yargh maytee! :p

@WaveBoy: Please be patient. No one's given a flat-out 'yes' or 'no' yet.

I'd love to see a preview button. Also if someone posts a new reply whilst you're writing yours, show the extra replies and ask for confirmation (so you can amend your message if necessary, useful especially in General Discussion's game threads). Give the functionality a flag on our user profiles though, so we can turn it off if we want (can get annoying on popular threads)

theblackdragon: ahaha perfect response to that thread, raylax

Stickies!

guys, if you'd like a preview of things to come, check out the Movemodo forums, which do have a preview button :3 Ant's using that as the testing ground, and once he's got it how he likes it he should be upgrading the NL forums to something along those lines. :3
there's also stickies there, Ravage :3
