There are alot of great Cheapies in the Eshop. I Have just downloaded ATV Wild Ride among others and have a great time playing some of these cool downloads. When the question popped up years ago about digital Download versus Cartridges I was totally against downloads and said I would never download a game. Now I still prefer Cartridges as opposed to Digital download. I have come a longway

My question is simply this:
What's your Favorite Eshop Cheapy Games under 9.99? (even though you might have more than 1 favorite please just list 1)

My Favorite is Gunman Clive Although I could list so many more

Zelda Minish Cap, Metroid Fusion, Wario Ware Inc. and others.

Hah! Just kidding, I think it would be Fishing Resort, if you count DSiWares for this... It's one awesome little game.
Puzzler World XL is also a pretty awesome package for the asking price, very worth 5 dollars, maybe more. I would mention Petit Computer, but that's not exactly a cheapy, is it?

As for 3DS specific games, I don't think I have bought anything too cheap from there other than Bird Mania and Hello Kitty Picnic (two dollars each), but I wouldn't call these my favorites. Maybe 101 Dinosaur Pets? How much was that one again?

Oh, and just so you know, I don't consider things over 5 dollars to be "cheap" on the eShop.

My favourites so far:

  • Zenonia (DSiWare, $7.99) - despite its linear and not particularly original plot, a cool RPG with pleasant pixel graphics, lots of items to collect and forge
  • Pushmo ($6.99) - played in short bursts, the sound effects going with the push/pull motions are surprisingly satisfying
  • Tetris (VC, $3.99) - one of those classics where simplicity is better, still fun despite the lack of coloured visuals

Haha I think by setting it to 9.99 or less you're really just saying "What is your favourite eshop game?" MOST of them are 9.99 or less :P

Though I definitely have to say either Pushmo or Crashmo. Since buying Pushmo, I have spent 176 hours on it, more than any other game I think I've ever owned, except maybe FF6 or Super Mario RPG. Crashmo is getting up there with 30 hours already, and I've only just started to really explore that title.

Seeing as how there are only a handfull of games over $9.99, why not just go all the way and ask what our favorite eShop title is? (well, besides the fact that we already have a thread for that).

As for cheap games, I'd say my favorite is the Sword of Hope II ($2.99). Great retro RPG.

Games are very important for us. But it's not just the game is fun, it's the way you play it and be respectful for what you have.
You all are very special to me,and it warms my heart to see a lot of fantastic people on this site.

9.99 isn't cheapo. If that's the case though

1. X-Scape (DSiWare)
2. Art of Balance: Touch
3. Mighty Switch Force
4. EscapeVektor

Real cheapys

1. Escapee GO (DSiWare)
2. Aura-Aura Climber (DSiWare)
3. Gunman Clive

Yeah, I'd say anything under $5 is cheap for an eShop title (all the non-retail eshop games are cheap in my eyes, though).

With that in mind, I'd say Gargoyle's Quest is my favorite. If VC or DSiWare doesn't count, though, then I got nothing. There's nothing that's eShop only at that price point that I liked or even cared about.

Five-way tie
-Mighty Switch Force
-Pushmo
-Crashmo
-Gunman Clive
-Mega Man 2

Doesn't every eShop download count as a "cheapie", excluding retail downloads? If you just mean every game under $10 then I guess this topic makes sense. I would list Harmoknight as a cheapie when I get it, but I guess that doesn't count as a "cheapie". :(

Classic Sonic will always be the number 1 Sonic! I think Modern Sonic's great but will never beat my original Classic Sonic.

Ok lets change it up to 4.99 or less :P Now I already posted Gunman Clive so another cheapy Favorite for me would be Fishing Resort. Fishing Resort totally flew under the Radar. I thought great a boring fishing game but its rather deep but very easy to play and has the quick arcade feel with a bit of RPG

What upcoming cheapies are you guys looking forward too? mine would be Publishers Dream and Lair Land Story. Also any games with online co-op or head to head interest me. I hope for some of those also. I would also buy Zenonia if they would have a price drop on it. I would enjoy it at full price for sure but on the android and apple markets its now a. 99 cent game. Im holding off on principle. but it looks great

Nothing like fishing to bring people together as friends :) Did you like Reel Fishing Mini? I have it and like it also. I was at Kmart the other day and they have Reel Fishing 3d for 14.99. I almost bought it but picked up a DS game instead called My sims Sky Heroes instead

I'm waiting for Harvest Moon GBC.
That will be under 5 dollars right?

Other than that, I don't really know much about future releases.

It would be awesome if another retail download got the same pricing error as Hello Kitty Picnic (it went from 20 dollars in USA to 20 pesos/1.50 dollars in Mexico because someone forgot to convert the price). Monster Hunter would be the best "cheapy".

@fishing: Yup! I downloaded Reel Fishing Mini, it's pretty easy compared to Fishing Resort. It's like, the relaxing fishing option.
Big Bass Arcade is also quite fun, but it's less varied. but I got it for free, so I can't really complaint, can I?
