Look it up, Intellegent Systems is actually the one behind the Paper Mario series. I'm as surprised as you to hear that.

I'm even more surprised that they made Super Metroid.

And Paper Mario. And Fire Emblem. And WarioWare. And Mario Paint. And Wario Woods. And Advanced Wars. And MK Super Circuit.

Intelligent Systems can do anything. You've got competition Retro. :P

Somebody call me?

Actually, I believe it was another division of Nintendo that made (the exquisite puzzle game) Wario's Woods.

But Intelligent Systems is responsible for Planet Puzzle League, which I adore. And Super Mario Kart, oddly enough, even though they didn't work on the rest of the franchise as far as I know (I just caught them in the credits for SMK when playing the ambassador version).

Wario Woods by Intelligent Systems.

Just scroll down the list and see the developer's greatness, lol.

Bro, you just can't deny that Super Metroid is the best game ever created. The gameplay is top-notch, the graphics are amazing, the boss battles have an epic feel to it, and the replayability is godly beyond belief. After you finish the game, there's something in you that wants you to play the game again to speedrun it, to get that three-hours or less ending... with 100% items, bro.

By the way, my record for beating Super Metroid is 1:13 with 100%. Of course, I haven't touched it for a month now because of all of the great games lately and hard work at school, but still, Super Metroid is a masterpiece that I'll keep close to my heart.

Games I'm getting: The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD

Favorite Game: Super Metroid (SNES) / Mother 2 (SNES) / RuneScape (PC)
Playing: RuneScape

Nothing interesting happens.

True dat, they are amazing games. But it's the core gameplay that I consider Super Metroid to be the best game ever made. Tetris and OoT are great, engaging games, but I personally love fast-paced gameplay and backtracking Super Metroid offered over those two games. The fact that Super Metroid just had that ledge I couldn't reach yet made me so curious, I would just continue playing the game just to know what's in that place, whenever it'll be a disappointment or something huge like the Plasma Beam.

Really, I believe it's all a matter of preference. I love using my head for the puzzles in those other two games, but Super Metroid caters to what I really love to see in games: backtracking and fast-paced gameplay. Now let's just hope a new Metroid game comes to the 3DS, full force, with that same amazing level design as Super Metroid did.

It's a shame Metroid isn't well known. It really needs to be played more often. Too bad Other M killed off Metroid for me. Yes, I hated it; I wanted to like it, but I just didn't feel like it was Metroid as a whole. Just putting in Metroids and Samus in the game doesn't automatically make it Metroid. Where was the exploration? Where was the speedrunning?

Anyway, back to the topic. Super Metroid is my favorite game of all time; therefore, it is my favorite game Intelligent Systems ever created (duh).

Good day.

Hexic HD was a great puzzle game too. It's pre-installed on all Xbox 360's that come with a hard drive.
