A good video player (to play vids from SD card), a better browser, and more variety about apps

A full-featured internet browser. One that isn't loaded while still having other software loaded so it can dedicate more memory to it. And flash support!

Also, new Contra, Castlevania and Mega Man games made specifically for the 3DS that are similar to, but also better than the SNES versions. There is no reason why the WiiWare versions of these games are subpar to the SNES games in the series.

Because more was riding on the SNES games being successful?

Because Wiiware games don't matter to these companies in the grand scheme of things (even when Wiiware was maybe kinda relevent)?

Because it's not 1992?

Because they were made by different teams with possibly far less skill at brilliant level design?

An anime app like Crunchyroll, or something new.
Also, a RPG Maker VX Ace ported to the eshop for a lower price of 20 bucks, with 3D effects, streetpass, an online gallery and the ability to download games to your home screen.
Maybe Jetpack Joyride, I would pay 2 bucks for it in 3D.

is rly good

How about none of the above. While I would agree that Wiiware as a platform has a poor track record in regards to delivering quality software, you make it seem like companies are producing inferior games on purpose. Considering that a good game would likely review better and push sales, this seems like flawed reasoning.
We should demand the highest quality of output from our beloved franchises.

Miyamoto on his desire to focus more on the (hard)core Nintendo fan.

[The casual] attitude is, ‘okay, I am the customer. You are supposed to entertain me.’ [...] and to me it’s kind of a pathetic thing.

You are what you eat from your head to your feet.

Alright, fine, there was more riding on snes games being more successful. But what I meant was that since the Wii games are on the Wii they are perfectly capable of being better than the snes games.
WiiWare isn't relevant because nobody made any must have games for it. Don't developers understand that the game library is part of the selling point of a system? They put out mediocre games and then say that they're not going to do more because their mediocre games only sold mediocre. They create the environment and then use it as an excuse. If they didn't make those games for the snes then the snes wouldn't have been relevant.
So what if it's not 1992? That's all the more reason to make a game that's BETTER than a game that came out in 1992.
They didn't have to be made by different teams. They could have had better skilled teams working on the games.

Yes please. Considering Team Meat is on decent terms with Nintendo, I could actually see it happen. Though I don't care too much about having 3D in the game; I feel it would distract from the platforming.
Aside from that, I'd love to see an FPS by Renegade on the eShop. Seeing that the file restraints on the eShop are pretty decent, I could see it happening.

Best thread ever
