I want Skype and Flipnote studio 3D

Yes, Skype and Flipnote Memo definitely.
Maybe a Youtube app or a facebook app. Facebook gives me a hard time on the 3DS and Youtube is pretty self-explanatory. A translating app (like Google Translate) would be nice, maybe it could even have voice-recognition. That's probably a stretch, though (as are the others...). A better Internet Browser, that's for sure... Or maybe something similar to AIM, because I don't know how well Swapnote will hold up. Other than that, I can't think of anything. (Jeez, rather Internet-related, aren't they?)

I'm pretty sure I saw it on Nintendo Life somewhere and somewhere nestled amongst all the topics under 3DS. :3
Also, I do believe Nintendo mentioned Skype at E3 2010 or 2011, but I may be wrong... if I am, you can hurl abuse at me.

After some digging I did find this, I've also gone on to Skype and found a topic about Skype for 3DS... with no posts. However it looks like Nintendo could be making their own 3DS voice-chat, maybe Nintendo Letter Box/SwapNote could be the start of this. However Skype have also said that they'd be willing to bring it to DSi if Nintendo let them, so maybe a 3DS version is in the works... but at the moment, there is no word about it.

I'm not wrong, exactly, just not properly informed. If you look at my edited post, Skype asked Nintendo if they could bring it to the DSi if Nintendo let them. Since that didn't happen, it could be in the works for the 3DS.

At this point in time, it's up in the air. Nintendo are releasing Nintendo Letter Box/SwapNote where you can send 10-second voice recordings to each other, so that maybe the start of things to come. But there is still no information on Skype actually coming to 3DS... at the moment, who knows whats happening...

I know that the 3DS is a gimmick but,
It doesn't need to be that much more of a gimmick by giving it more useless Apps.

At the very least, I hope that the 3DS gets an app which will connect to the WiiU calling service briefly shown at E3.

I don't need more unless they are useful like pokedex 3D not like flipnote studio for the dsi, that thing was terrible for drawing and I am an artist.

Skype is owned by Microsoft, so it's not happening. (Though the Vita is getting Skype, so maybe Sony likes paying Microsoft fees?)

and Microsoft make software for apple devices, where's your point?

That would be like Nintendo putting New Super Mario Bros. Wii on Xbox Live Arcade, or Sony making God of War for the Wii. Supporting a competitor's device is risky.

One problem: Skype is usually free. How the heck is that a bad thing?
