It has currently only been released in North America so far. It can take Nicalis a very, very long time before one of their games launches in Europe/Australia, so you'll just have to be patient until then.

Just completed it today. Awesome game! I was on the fence about buying it but it didn't disappoint. I think I died a few hundred times short of 2,000 times. Only got about 13 trinkets when I finished it, but I'm working on getting the rest. The 3D enhances it nicely. The level design is ridiculously brilliant.
@Oddy The sad elephant was a trinket? That would explain the odd sound when I stumbled upon it... And yeah, at first I bemoaned The Tower when I stepped in but it was indeed designed wonderfully. I did cave and look up how to get past the whole "Do as I say... ...Not as I do" bit though.
I think I might try to terminate my account. I'm not cut out for posting on forums lol

No, the trinket is in the same room as the elephant, all the way to the left. The odd sound was it making Viridian sad, as that sound plays any time a character becomes sad in the game.
I won't lie; I looked up a walkthrough for that Intermission level in the PC version. A year later though, I still remembered how to do it, which is pretty cool.

Hmm, I've beaten the game and found all of the trinkets, but for some reason the first time trial level has not unlocked for me yet. It says all you need to do is rescue Violet and find three trinkets, so I definitely should have unlocked it by now. Since the unlock requirements aren't that high I guess I'll start a new game and try to get it to open, but I hope it's not glitched or anything.

It's not a traditional platformer. You flip gravity, not jump. Push a button and you'll go flying up. Land on a surface, press button again, and you'll go flying down. It's difficult but nothing madenning. Getting all the trinkets kind of reaches meat boy difficulty though.(There's 20.) The main thing you have to do is rescue your crew members which have gotten lost through out the dimension. You have to look for them. It's an open world-ish game. Not very linear for an 8-bit game. Ot's not very long either. 2 hours and a half I'd say at most depending on how good you are. Much more if you try to get all the trinkets. It's really fun in a difficult way.

That thing is addictive as crack. I stayed at it for at least an hour straight when I first unlocked it, and was getting nowhere in advancing my score beyond 5 seconds. The next day, I started it up and managed 12:53 (my current best) on my first try. I guess having your head in the right place is key.

Has anybody played Variation Venture? I'm pretty sure the last trinket is impossible (like in quantum mechanics where if you push on a wall for infinity, you might fall through it. That kind of impossible).

I only played the first two fan-made games. (They're really more full games than they are "levels," meaning this release contains 13 additional full games!) They were insanely hard. Please let some of the others be more...um...playable.

Yeah they can be hard, but Variation Venture isn't too bad except for that last trinket. Please try it so I know if it can be done.

LOL. And true ("333333 (Easy Mode)", my ash!) But some of the others are much shorter and more manageable.

The best thing you can download there (Unless your in Europe and have registered 2 3DS games on Club Nintendo)The 3D is not that important. It's the content, which it has a good amount. Nicalis doesn't fail. (Even though the stories weren't technically made by Nicalis)
