Do tell, did you actually try the games? I feel as if Plattchen was treated unfairly. It's not a masterpiece but it's much better then how it was put out to be.
Also, some companies such as WayForward made a LOT of crappy games in their early days (Movie tie-ins, PING PALS).
Can't say I've tried Bit Boy WiiWare, but I hope the 3DS version is given a fair chance at least.

Cave Story+ still makes me feel like I was jipped. Seriously.

Excited to see how Unchained Blades turned out, and I'm iffy on NightSky with the feeling it may end up being just a lazy port (hahaha Nicalis).

@RR529 The game you're talking about is Arc Style: 三国志Pinball (I believe its read sankoku shi), I usually think the arc style games are budget games but this one is more expensive that most of the others.

Jazzy Billiards is okay I guess. Its supposed to be very America Bar style billiards, wish the menus and music to match. New update in a few hours. I'll be back. :)

Thanks for responing! Hmm, they still sound pretty interesting. Have you read any reviews on them?

Hope they're released over here eventually. We've already got one Arc Style game (Arc Style: Soccer 3D), and we're getting Family Tennis 3D soon (another Arc System Works title).

Why so iffy on Night Sky? They did a fantastic job porting VVVVVV over, so I'm sure it'll be fine.

I'm also excited for Unchained Blades. I just hope it doesn't cost TOO much.

@RR529 I haven't read any reviews as of yet, but I can look them up if you want. I only have bought a few e-shop games so far, and none of them have been the arc style games.

Oh, and next wee our new e-shop game is the "Pokemon AR サーチャ(Searcher). I don't know what the western name will be.

The western name, in Europe at least, will be "Pokemon Dream Radar". It's curious that you didn't mention the Pokedex 3D Pro- hasn't that been advertised either? I thought they would get simeltainious release?

I'd like to say that I recommend my my Backloggery, but I haven't updated it in a long time!

@Nibelilt I don't know anything about this title, other than what I'm seeing on the website right now. The "Pokedex 3D" (ポケモン立体図鑑) that was released for free before was shown on the website the same as other download software, so unless they're going to update it later, which they usually don't, this "AR Searcher" is the only thing coming out in the e-shop next week.

Good news! I've been looking forward to this one! :)

Here's the Pokedex 3D Pro in question, it's a completely different, paid app- http://www.serebii.net/pokedex3dpro/

@Nibelilt It actually says the release date right there, July 14th.

EDIT: That is one expensive app. It'll be the most expensive item on the e-shop.

I'm also excited for Unchained Blades. I just hope it doesn't cost TOO much.

BECAUSE it stills counts as a "port". And if there's no benefits other then portability, I don't see a reason to buy it twice.

OK, I see where you're coming from. I never had them on PC, so the whole 'buying them a second time' thing never applied to me.

Why I don't have them on PC is because our computer sucks (heck, the 3DS web browser is much more hassle free, lol).

Just ignore Nikoli. Stupid expensive puzzle things. :(

Don't get me wrong, I love puzzle games, but these are just rip-offs..

Actually, from what I understand, the Nikoli games are a case of quality over quantity.

He makes each puzzle by hand ( I believe the eShop games are digital versions of his actual puzzle books), so there's not as many puzzles in his titles, as in titles that have hundreds of computer generated puzzles. Although, the hand crafted nature of his puzzles makes them a higher quality than the dime a dozen computer generated ones.

So in essence, your choice is going to be between a shorter, but more quality, experience (Nikoli), or a more shallow, but more lengthy, DSiWare title.

I'm not a number puzzle guy though, so I have no idea which of those is considered more important (it's just the argument I've been hearing back & forth).

Maybe his upcoming games (Slitherlink & Akari) don't have as much DSiWare competition, so they'll be able to break out.

What exactly makes it a higher quality puzzle when it is hand created or computer created?
It looks the same, feels the same, and plays the same. I can't tell the difference between a Nikoli sudoku puzzle and one in EA's sudoku DSiWare game. Plus, the nikoli puzzle games were part of a retail collection, that unlike this, had alot value for money...

All I know about the Nikoli games are from my experiences with the Sudoku game. They are short versions of the Nikoli DS retail games, and the music is really bad. haha

I think they're overpriced.

Plus Nikoli's games are published by Hamsters, are you sure you want animals making your word games? (Lol JK)

Regardless, I just hope we get Wario land in NA, Chris Hoffman is excited about next week for some reason, so I be it's that. (He doesn't get excited like this often)

Don't judge JKF based on it being from UFO... They have made a few amazing games in the past!
