Thanks for that clarification. If worse came to worse I was going to fire my coworker and put my son up for adoption so i could make it stop. I sure am glad I've got another option now!

I think Letter Box is a GREAT feature and I would be more inclined to delete annoying people on it, rather than the service. If they're sending you annoying posts, either tell them to cool it, or delete them.
I notice that a lot of my 3DS "friends" never use the service. To me there isn't much point in staying friends with them on my 3DS. We don't play any games together and don't communicate in any way ... so there's really not much point of having them on my friends list. And it's not just that I don't talk to these people, but I also hate to think that if they do sign on to Letter Box only once in a great while, I don't want them to be overwhelmed by my posts either. The Friends List is for gaming with friends, and these people obviously aren't into it like I am.

I turned off the notifications after the 7th "You got a new note from Nikki(orwhateverhernameis)!".
But other than that, I can't say have any problems with the app, I enjoy checking it every now and then.
I only have like three or four active friends, so it's never too much.

Yeah, I haven't opened it up in weeks. It's just much work keeping up with stuff and there isn't much point when we can already communicate over NL.

Still waiting for a really basic messaging system integrated into the friends list for matchmaking.

...I like the little Blue LED light that goes blue when I get notifications ._. I don't really care that my Notifications are all NEW LETTER now. I'm just hoping Nintendo adds in the ability to delete SpotPass notifications.

I love the app, but it really depends on who you have for friends. Initially I was being flooded by obnoxious letters, but after deleting a couple friends Swapnote started to make sense to me. It's a great communication tool.

You can disable SpotPass Notifications for this game, you know.

I can tolerate the endless NEW LETTER notifications anyway but if I disable Home menu notifications then no more blue LED light for me D:

I probably won't uninstall it. I probably won't use it again either though, now that I think about it ... guess it just languishes in App Hell.

There's a new reason to launch the app.
For any of you noticed, Nikki has sent out a new message (via spotpass) to be opened at a later date.

However, if you're impatient like me you can open the surprise early by setting the 3DS' internal calendar ahead oh say, a week.

Is it....like an update in functionality or something? I imagine Nintendo would just do that instead of sending a timed note...I don't like fiddling with my internal clock so perhaps you can just share what it is? Pretty please?

I guess I can delete that note now as someone already sent me the surprise a few minutes ago.
