when you say every extra, did you also "unlock" the 9th crew member profile in archives? (middle in third row). I am thinking that it is not possible to unlock it (for spoiler reasons)

It's possible to get that profile. If you want to know just ask.

By every extra, yes. I got all profiles, all 20 "trinkets", a backstory to one of the characters, and the linked extra. The puzzles themselves aren't even close to VLR levels of hard, It actually feels like a glorified version of those flash escape the room games.

One thing that I'm not clear on though is, the "communication" option. In the start, you are prompted to use the mic to read a phrase, but since I'm in a loud environment, it got disabled. What was it supposed to do anyway? I saw not part in the game where it could have been used.

Do you remember what did unlock that profle? which crew member is it? Alex? I think the communication is disabled to give you a feeling of desolation (a.k.a. immersion to the game world). Same as the other AR droids At the beginning I thought you would get to use all of them, each with special powers etc which would create complex puzzles but no... just no...

@Stokos Why are you asking me, didn't you already answer your question with your earlier post (about the ring)? But about the Com feature, so you're saying that the feature cannot be unlocked in any way, right? Got it.

The whole Silver Ring "subquest" just unlocks the Captain's daughter ("Alyssa") short story. What I am asking for is the profile of the 9th crew member in "Archives"

@Karakato, That voice piece in the beginning was later explained near the end of the game. Remember when Nicolas voice was recognized and was welcomed by SAM, she told that the voice of the person in the password locked box couldn't be recognised and he was written in as a guest. Since the aliens could talk human (like the player) it was just a means to get the player into the game.

I clocked in around four hours. Spend some time looking for an item that was right in front of me. I really enjoyed it as a huge adventure fan. There were some missed changes, the extra content was disappointing to say the least and the game is very easy and lineair. The story was quite good with a nice twist I didn't saw coming and it has a few nice scares and the atmosphere feels creepy. The graphics were ok. It looks pretty simple but it's a space ship. When they showed the planet, I expected a nice 3D effect, but unfortunately it wasn't there. One big complaint for me is the audio. I can live with no music, but god the movement sound of the robot is terrible. I did like the voice work though. Just to bad not everything was voiced.

So I like it, I think it's a 7/10 for me.

This is embarrassing, how do I open the door in the first room? The one with the two robots. I've got the ID card but I can't use it.

Thanks.

They Loved: Creepy sci-fi story with excellent writing, with both good jump scares & humorous moments.

They Disliked: Movement is a tad awkward (and accompanied by an annoying sound), and there is a dissapointing lack of music.

Jump scares? I didn't play the same game. It's moody but not scary, not even a bit.

I enjoyed it although the sound of the robot moving was annoying as hell. So far GuildXX games have left me wanting more of them (Liberation Maiden, Crimsom Shroud -so great- and this one).

i just completed this the other night (only missed one leech i had to go back for, thankfully not too far behind lol). i've got kinda mixed feelings about it — i hadn't expected the ending to turn out quite that way, but then it wasn't really shocking enough to have been worth all the trouble, either... i would say that if you're interested, wait for it to go on sale first. i think i had more fun playing Aero Porter while I was stuck here and there, lol :3

They liked the fact that the game left the player on their own to figure out what to do, the game was convincingly spooky despite the fact your character's life was never at risk, and the graphics lent themselves perfectly to the situation, hitting all the right notes.

On the downside, they said the puzzles were not complex enough to make it stand out against it's brethren, the game was too linear to fully live up to it's lineage as a modern day point & click adventure, and it felt like a step back in originality, compared to the past 3 "Guild" games (Liberation Maiden, Crimson Shroud, & Aero Porter).

I've played through it a second time and it is clear just how much they didn't kept their promises on figuring thing out yourself. Storywise they are right, but gameplay wise everything is planned to steer you through a specific path. From finding cards that can only open specific doors, from blocked halls, only being able to hold one item and so on. Small spoiler upcoming... after finding the bodies in the crew rooms, there is also the cookie jar on the floor. Even then it prevents you from picking up the jar because there is a body waiting.

Still a nice game though. Still give it a small 7.

I think a 7 is about right for this one, but I loved the atmosphere. I wouldn't say it's a step back in originality from the others...each of them take a well-worn genre (shoot em up, turn-based RPG, resource management, "point and click" adventure) and give them an interesting slant. I was very happy with this one, and while I saw the main twist of the plot coming, the post-credits sequence was an additional twist that I found legitimately clever.

It had its issues, but I definitely don't see how this is any less "original" than the other Guild games. Besides, originality isn't much of a selling point...I'll take great execution of an established formula over frustrating mess of an experiment any day. :)

Gosh, I agree with this 100%. Sometimes it feels like I'm a rare breed. I constantly read innovation, innovation, innovation! Looking for innovation! Nothing wrong with that, but I thought I was lonely in this view.

@hellokitty216 This game can be completed under 3 hours even if you're attempting to get everything out of it so I'd wager you'll beat this in a one night sitting and will not have any incentive to go back again (Same thing applies to most Point 'n Click/Visual Novel games). But whether or not you already bought this, the unnerving atmosphere and the mystery riddled story is what makes up for a somewhat lacking experience.

On a side note, did anyone else find one scene in the game extremely out of place of the mood that the game was going for? While I wasn't irked about it, I still found it to be unnecessary to the game's serious tone. The part where the robot floats in air while the Blue Danube Waltz plays then comically falls flat when he reaches the Captain's deck.
