THE STARSHIP DAMREY, the first of the three Guild 02 titles published by Level-5, is apparently hitting the NA eShop on May 16th!

The most mysterious of the bunch, it appears to be a first person adventure game, where you explore the spooky ship, while interacting with the environment to figure out what happened, and how you're going to survive the ordeal.

It's not my most anticipated of the collection, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't intrigued. The Guild 01 titles are arguably the most unique contributions to the eShop's library (with Liberation Maiden & Crimson Shroud being a couple of my favorite downloads), and the Guild 02 titles seem to be continuing that interesting trend.

Although it has no official videos of it's own yet, you can see the game in action in both the official Guild 02 localization trailer & it's announcement video in a former Japanese Nintendo Direct (Both of which can be found on YouTube by a quick search of "Guild 02"). There isn't much to see, but it does give you a slightly better idea than the still images we've seen thus far do.

So, who's ready to explore a spooky space ship?

I'm looking forward to it. I like the idea that they drop you into a situation and you don't know what's going on at all. That's why I haven't looked up any videos showing gameplay of this yet. The less I know, the better. I'm sure it won't be too costly, so I'm willing to gamble that it will be a fun game without waiting for reviews that could potentially spoil anything.

I don't know, I'm just in the mood to play a game like this. Seems like the atmosphere and gameplay could be enhanced by 3D. I hope it's used well. This will be a game I play in the dark right before bed to really set the mood.

I hope it has special features if you have the other Guild titles, like in Japan.

From the small gameplay I could see on the Nintendo Direct, it seemed to be like Etrian Odyssey (moving on a grid with a FP perspective).... But A point and click adventure would be pretty awesome too if they do it right.

I'm afraid what little video we have of it hasn't given away the gameplay.

It looks to be first person, with movement happening one "square" at a time (similar to movement in Etrian Odyssey), but that could still be wrong.

None of the videos have given any hints as how the player interacts with the environment, however (except one screenshot shows a keyboard on the bottom screen), so that remains a complete mystery.

So far this is the one that interests me the most out the three Guild02 games. I'll wait until I read some reviews (Nlife's and NWR's) and some user opinions but I'm willing to jump aboard.

I hope it is as good as Crimson Shroud.

@RR529 Yeah I was disappointed about that, but beginning this month I finally have more of what I love to play, RPGs. It's good that Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and Denpamen 2 are out, unfortunately I'll be playing those when they're out, The Starship Damrey may have to wait on my Watchlist.

Speaking of Level 5s Guild series, I was skeptical of them at first, but I have played at least one now, Crimson Shroud was brilliant, especially the second time around when I went to get the "Real" ending although to 'find' the true ending, I did need to use a walkthrough (something I don't normally do, folks!) to navigate myself to the real ending.
After tackling Resident Evil: Revelations last year, I may just stray to The Starship Damrey eventually, as it looks set to scare (who knows?), I will try to get around to it eventually, but with all these new releases (ah ha ha huuuuuh, yeah eventually may mean after everyone has already played it twice, lol) ...
